Kelly Eden has lived a life worthy of the art she aspires to create:<br />
dramatic, layered, vibrant, and unexpectedly mean<strong>in</strong>gful.<br />
When she was 17, she enrolled <strong>in</strong> the Denver School of the Arts and<br />
fell <strong>in</strong> love with oil pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g. She was only there for a short time before<br />
graduat<strong>in</strong>g and mov<strong>in</strong>g to Rocky Mounta<strong>in</strong> College of Art and Design.<br />
There, she honed her skills as a pa<strong>in</strong>ter and, <strong>in</strong> some<br />
ways, as a model for her fellow artists, design<strong>in</strong>g a very<br />
effective social-media presence for herself. Her onl<strong>in</strong>e<br />
presence was so compell<strong>in</strong>g that it quickly went viral,<br />
attract<strong>in</strong>g much attention to Kelly and her work.<br />
She graced magaz<strong>in</strong>e covers as an alternative<br />
model, generat<strong>in</strong>g a lot of <strong>in</strong>terest <strong>in</strong> the “tattoo<br />
pastel” aesthetic she represented at the time.<br />
Several magaz<strong>in</strong>es spreads featured an <strong>in</strong>trigu<strong>in</strong>g<br />
double feature with Kelly’s pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>gs alongside<br />
photographs of herself. She leveraged her artistic<br />
fame <strong>in</strong>to a role as an “<strong>in</strong>fluencer” and a successful<br />
YouTube personality. But after nearly ten years of<br />
that life, Kelly was compelled to quit because of<br />
the constant stress, self-doubt, and onl<strong>in</strong>e abuse<br />
she was receiv<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
Eventually, with a new appreciation for<br />
therapy, she began to rediscover her partially<br />
neglected first love: pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g. She now uses<br />
pa<strong>in</strong>t to shape the good and bad notions<br />
that have filled her life with self-compell<strong>in</strong>g<br />
significance.<br />
