Camelia Mohebi is a visual artist, designer, director and<br />

entrepreneur. camelia draws <strong>in</strong>spiration from people, senses and<br />

the subconscious/emotional m<strong>in</strong>d. She first started express<strong>in</strong>g<br />

herself through art <strong>by</strong> draw<strong>in</strong>g people and faces.<br />

In comb<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g her knowledge of art, broad life experiences and<br />

understand<strong>in</strong>g of the human psyche, she creates unique<br />

pieces that make one ponder crucial elements of<br />

psychology, theology, physics and metaphysics.<br />

Camelia often generates art — be it digitally, on<br />

canvas, leather, velvet, wood and mixed medium<br />

— us<strong>in</strong>g acoustic frequencies and sounds.<br />

“Frequencies — created <strong>by</strong> <strong>in</strong>struments of man and<br />

nature — envelop us. How and to what degree these<br />

omitted and received waves affect us is still often<br />

hidden or unknown,” says Camelia<br />

“For a period of two years, I isolated myself from<br />

ma<strong>in</strong>stream media frequency generators and listened<br />

to b<strong>in</strong>aural beats with sublim<strong>in</strong>al messages” says Camelia<br />

and she also mentions how this resulted <strong>in</strong> major<br />

behavioral changes. Before her career as an Emirati<br />

artist, she worked <strong>in</strong> bank<strong>in</strong>g and market<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

and had her own children’s brand ba<strong>by</strong>bl<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Camelia was born <strong>in</strong> 1978 and studied <strong>in</strong><br />

Dubai, Tehran, Geneva and London. She<br />

holds a BA <strong>in</strong> Visual Communication<br />

m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> Illustration and Graphic Design,<br />

and Certificates <strong>in</strong> Neuro-L<strong>in</strong>guistic<br />

Programm<strong>in</strong>g, Theta Heal<strong>in</strong>g and Art<br />

Therapy.
