Christiane Vleugels is a Belgian artist who is recognized<br />
for her hyper-realistic approach. Her stunn<strong>in</strong>g images<br />
enthrall and allow us to share <strong>in</strong> a powerful emotional<br />
experience. Her work represents the worldview and<br />
sympathy for her subjects, particularly those who cannot speak for<br />
themselves, such as traumatized women, her bereaved father, or<br />
even animals.<br />
Although her art is classified as hyperrealism, a closer<br />
exam<strong>in</strong>ation reveals that there is much more beyond the<br />
surface of the perfect models she pa<strong>in</strong>ts. Not only does she<br />
adore the subject, which began typically as photographs<br />
of her girls, she also adores the feel<strong>in</strong>g of an ethereal<br />
ambiance that oozes dramatic beauty and splendor.<br />
Women who are wounded, powerful, glamorous,<br />
seductive, pensive have proven to be an endless source<br />
of <strong>in</strong>spiration for her. She represents them <strong>in</strong> a hyperrealistic<br />
way, occasionally with a t<strong>in</strong>ge of magic to br<strong>in</strong>g<br />
the viewer further <strong>in</strong>to the physical or conceptual<br />
realm of her work.<br />
Christiane’s art has progressed from romantic<br />
pictures to animal portraits to images with a deeper<br />
mean<strong>in</strong>g throughout time. She traveled to Germany<br />
where she saw an opportunity to expose her art<br />
widely. Her works have been exhibited <strong>in</strong> Egypt and<br />
the United K<strong>in</strong>gdom, among other places. She now<br />
works completely for ‘IbexMasters,’ an art collective<br />
dedicated to assist<strong>in</strong>g exceptional artists. This<br />
sponsorship allowed her to cont<strong>in</strong>ue to develop and<br />
work with professional models.
