BRIEF TECHNICAL DETAILS OF
THE DUALIZATION OF (7.25km)
IDI-APE - BASORUN - AKOBO -
ODOGBO BARRACKS
JUNCTION PROJECT
IDI APE – BASORUN – AKOBO – ODOGBO BARRACK
JUNCTION ROAD is a 7.25 km comprising of a yover
over-pass across Lagos - Ibadan – Oyo Expressway
linking the city with less city. It was originally awarded
to ENL on 19th May 2017 but stalled at 35.76%
progress till it was terminated for non performance by
May 2020. For expediency, the project was split into 2
work-scopes, and re-awarded separately.
THE ROAD
The contract for the dualization of Basorun –Akobo –
Odogbo Barracks Junction was awarded on 12
November, 2020. The road is within Ibadan metropolis,
precisely within Lagelu Local Government Area. It serves
as a link to many major roads such as Ibadan – Lagos
Expressway, Agodi/Bus top – Idi Ape –
Iwo Road Interchange, Iwo Road, Olorunda Community
and 2nd mechanized division of Nigerian
Army, Odogbo barrack, Ibadan.
