ROAD NETWORK
High strength 80mm Pavers
were used for the road
network for longevity and
ease of maintenance. Thirteen
interconnecting roads were created to service
the GRA. The road network is serviced by open
reinforced drainage systems that can be repeatedly
cleaned to ensure the best HSE standards are
maintained in a topographically unique city like
Ibadan. Also effective drainage for greater than 100%>
of maximum rainfall has been incorporated into the
design and tested during the last 12 months of the
project. The roads are designed for both the
construction phase when heavy duty traffic is at
maximum and post-construction phases .
Adequate walkways are provided to ensure highstanda
rd communal living and safe humanautomobile
interaction. A 1-meter walkway is
mandatory for all homeowners to ensure uniformity
and high aesthetic value of the GRA.
