THE ELS CLUB TELUK DATAI, LANGKAWI
The Els Club Teluk Datai is situated in one of Southeast
Asia's most breathtaking locales, frequently referred to
as a tropical paradise. No surprise why, it has earned a
reputation as one of the most picturesque places to play
golf in Malaysia.
The course is set against the backdrop of a rainforest that
is estimated to be 10 million years old, and the allure of the
Andaman Sea can be seen in the distance.
Datai Bay, located on the northwest tip of Langkawi, was
named one of National Geographic's Top 10 Beaches in the
World and is widely regarded as one of the island's most
beautiful and unspoilt beaches.
To the pleasure of golfers, there are five holes on the course
that run along the edge of the ocean. From these holes,
golfers may get a good view at some of the 99 islands
that make up the archipelago as well as the pristine, white
beaches of Langkawi.

There are also breathtaking views across Datai bay and the
towering summit of Machinchang mountain.
The layout of the course makes use of strategically placed
tree-lines and a naturally meandering stream in order to
compensate for the absence of bunkers on the course.
