Limit bone weakening by
relying on preventive medicine
and minimally-invasive
sustainable approaches:
this is the objective of this
project, willing to test a
strategy to reduce the social
impact of long-term hospitalisations
and the ecological
impact of the healthcare system
in Lombardy.

Gli autori, Marco Boniardi
e Andrea Casaroli, hanno
presentato un volume frutto
della già testata sinergia con
TRAFILIX - divisione produttiva
del Gruppo LUCEFIN,
realtà industriale bresciana
leader e punto di riferimento
nella produzione e nella distribuzione
degli acciai.

SENTED THE THIRD VOLUME
More than 450 participants
joined the presentation
event of the book “ Metallurgia
degli Acciai – Parte seconda”
held at Politecnico di
Milano on October 21st, 2022.
The authors, Marco Boniardi
and Andrea Casaroli,
described this book being
the result of a well-rounded
collaboration with TRAFILIX
– the production division of
LUCEFIN Group, a company
from Brescia and leading reference
for steel production
and distribution.

CRESCE IL NUMERO DEI
DOTTORANDI DMEC
40 nuovi ingressi a novembre
e altri 10 a dicembre: si conclude
con 50 nuovi dottorandi
il numero di ingressi del 38°
ciclo. Il Dipartimento di Meccanica
registra così un numero
di dottorandi attivi pari
a 243 entro dicembre 2022,
con un incremento del 21,5%
rispetto allo scorso anno anche
grazie ai finanziamenti
ricevuti tramite PNRR.

lupo per questo nuovo inizio!

THE NUMBER OF DMEC PHD
STUDENTS GROWS
40 new PhD students started
last November and 10 others
will start their PhD next month:
the 38th cycle closes
with +50 new PhD students.
The number of active PhD
students at the Department
of Mechanical Engineering
will reach 243 by December
2022, with a 21,5% growth
compared to last year, also
thanks to the funding received
via the National Recovery
and Resilience Plan.
Welcome everybody and

GRANDE
AFFLUEN-
ZA AGLI EVENTI POLIMI
Studenti, docenti, dirigenti
scolastici e Alumni hanno
preso parte agli eventi organizzati
dal Dipartimento di
Meccanica in occasione della
Milano Digital Week. L’obiettivo
era quello di mostrare
l’avanzamento della ricerca
per la simulazione e per le applicazioni
didattiche dell’ eXtended
Reality (XR). Oltre alle
visite guidate e alla conferenza,
alcuni partecipanti hanno
avuto modo di indossare un
visore e di provare in prima
persona una o più esperienze
immersive

Gaelazzi, Federico Morosi,
Cecilia Maria Bolognesi, Paolo
Boffi e ai colleghi del Driving
Simulator del Politecnico di

questi interessanti eventi e ai
partecipanti per aver portato
il loro entusiasmo.

EVENTS
Around 800 people joined the
events organized by Politecnico
di Milano on the occasion
of Milano Digital Week.
Students, teachers, school
principals and Alumni are
among the participants of
the events organized by the
Department of Mechanical
Engineering. The objective
was to show the state-of-theart
research for simulation
and teaching applications of
eXtended Reality (XR). Along
with the guided tours and the
conference, some participants
also had the opportunity to
wear a VR headset and try one
or more immersive experiences.
