Congratulazioni al team
del progetto GIFT per la
prima posizione raggiunta
nella categoria Breaking
Barriers dell’edizione 2021
dei #BeInclusive EU Sport
Awards, competizione promossa
dalla Commissione
Europea per premiare le organizzazioni
che nello svolgere
il loro lavoro fanno leva
sulla potenza dello sport
per migliorare l’inclusività
sociale dei gruppi svantaggiati.
Le attività del progetto GIFT
si sono svolte pressi il laboratorio
E4SPORT, uno dei
laboratori DMEC. Il Dipartimento
di Meccanica, grazie
ai suoi laboratori, si è visto
impegnato nella valutazione
meccanica del nuovo modello
di protesi.

Congratulations to the team
of GIFT project for raking
first in the “Breaking barriers”
category in the 2021 #BeInclusive
EU Sport Awards, the
competition promoted by the
European Commission to celebrate
organisations whose
work uses the power of sport
to improve social inclusion
for disadvantaged groups.
GIFT project was carried out
at E4SPORT Lab, one of our
DMEC labs. The Department
of Mechanical Engineering,
thanks to its labs, was involved
in the mechanical evaluation
of the new orthosis
models.

Artista profondamente legato
alla Bovisa, e primo
ospite del progetto Cultura
Meccanica, Jonathan Guaitamacchi,
dopo la mostra
“Bovisa from ‘97 to ‘17” allestita
nel Dipartimento di
Meccanica, ha realizzato e
donato allo stesso un’imponente
opera che avrà
collocazione permanete dal
titolo Epi-Genesi. Collocata
negli spazi di DMEC Epi-Genesi
sarà liberamente fruibile
nei normali orari d’apertura
dell’università.

THE ART COLLECTION OF
POLITECNICO DI MILANO
Jonathan Guaitamacchi, an
artist deeply connected with
Bovisa and the first protagonist
of the Cultura Meccanica
project, following the
art exhibition “Bovisa from
‘97 to ‘17” organised at the
Department of Mechanical
Engineering, designed and
donated a new majestic artwork
entitled Epi-Genesis
that will be here permanently
showcased. Located in our
buildings, Epi-Genesis will be
accessible during University
working hours.
LA TECNOLOGIA DYNAMIS
PRC AVANZA: PRESENTATO
IL PRIMO PROTOTIPO A GUI-
DA AUTONOMA
Presentato lo scorso 30 giugno
il nuovo prototipo del
team Dynamis PRC del Dipartimento
di Meccanica: DP13
autonoma. La nuova sfida del
team è stata creare una macchina
elettrica, superando
l’ottimo successo raggiunto
nella stagione precedente,
che fosse anche a guida autonoma.
I responsabili del
team hanno illustrato agli
ospiti il processo di realizzazione
e quelle che saranno le
tappe della stagione 2022.

DYNAMIS PRC TECHNOLOGY
IMPROVES, PRESENTED THE
FIRST SELF-DRIVING PRO-
TOTYPE
Last June 30th, 2022, DYNA-
MIS PRC, a racing team of the
Department of Mechanical
Engineering, presented its
latest prototype: DP13 autonomous.
The new challenge
for the team was to build a
full-electric car, improving
what they brilliantly achieved
during the past season,
which was also self-driving.
Each area manager explained
to our guests how the
car was assembled and presented
the rounds of the
upcoming season.

DOTTORANDO DELLA SE-
ZIONE DI MISURE PREMIATO
ALLA CONFERENZA INTER-
NAZIONALE IEEE MEMEA
2020
La conferenza IEEE International
Symposium on Medical
Measurements and Applications
ha pluripremiato
il Team del Laboratorio di
Misure per Applicazioni Biomedicali
(LAMBDA Lab) del
Dipartimento di Meccanica
del Politecnico di Milano. Il
dottorando Leonardo Bianchi
ha ricevuto due riconoscimenti:
un travel Grant
ed il Best Student Paper
Award, per il lavoro sul tema
della misura delle proprietà
termiche di tessuti biologici
e fantocci in funzione della
temperatura. Il lavoro di
ricerca è realizzato nell’ambito
del progetto ERC LA-
SER OPTIMAL nel quale sta
svolgendo il suo dottorato
di ricerca, con il supporto di
Fondazione Cariplo.

At the IEEE International
Symposium on Medical Measurements
and Applications
Conference, the DMEC team
of the LAMBDA Lab (Laboratory
of Measurements for
Biomedical Applications) of
Politecnico di Milano received
multiple awards.
Our PhD student Leonardo
Bianchi won a travel Grant
and the Best Student Paper
Award, both thanks to his
work regarding the measurement
of thermal properties
of biological tissues and
tissue-mimicking phantom
as function of temperature.
The research activities are
carried out in the framework
of the ERC LASER OPTIMAL
project, which makes the
topic of its doctoral studies,
and it is also supported by
Fondazione Cariplo.
