Cloetta are proud to present PlantPack, our next step<br />
into future-proof packaging solutions.<br />
Cloetta started looking at alternatives, which reduces the CO2<br />
footprint of the packaging. That’s when we decided to develop<br />
a plastic suitable for candy which is partially made from plants.<br />
This plant-based plastic actually has the same chemical structure<br />
as conventional plastic, so it has the same functionality and<br />
recyclability, but a lower CO2 footprint. The reason why it has a lower<br />
CO2 footprint is because up to 50 % of the PlantPack bag, is made<br />
from sugarcane – pretty sweet (but please don’t eat it, though)!<br />
We hope you like our new PlantPack, which is implemented in our<br />
Malaco 450g bag range. When you buy one of these sweet packs you<br />
get the tasty candy inside and a friendlier kind of plastic made from<br />
