What I’m
drinking...
As wine lovers, most of us have heard of
Cotes du Rhone, a region in France that
produces exceptional quality wines.
There is a vast difference in style between northern
and southern Rhone wines. The north, due to its
cooler climate, rocky limestone pebbled terroir
and steeply terraced vineyards, creates remarkable
wines of great quality that are predominantly
Syrah-led. Whereas the South boasts hot summers
and mild winters, a flatter landscape, and is known
for its blends, largely influenced by Grenache. But
whether from the north or south, the wines from
Rhone are delicious!
So it is with great excitement that I introduce you
to our new unoaked ‘La Cigalière’ red wine, which
is produced with passion from vineyards in the
Rhone Valley in the northern part of Provence. The
aromatic grapes are harvested at perfect maturity
from sun-drenched terraced slopes resulting in
a sultry, smooth, fruity red that will leave you
wondering how the bottle evaporated so quickly!
La Cigalière Côtes
du Rhône
Côtes du Rhône, France
A rounded, wellbalanced
wine with a
long, fruity finish. Soft
body without excess
tannins. (vg)
