Received a lifetime achievement award for teaching, and a prize of £500 from the
Classical Assocation.

Edward Mirzoeff
Credited Consultant on the feature documentary Elizabeth: A Portrait in Parts
(Directed by Roger Michell, 2022) produced to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's

Tariq Hyder
Continues as Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the National Defence University. In
March 2022 he was a panellist on a national television discussion of Organisation of
Islamic Countries Conference held in Islamabad. In May, he was the first speaker, as
lead negotiator of Pak-India CBMs 2004-7, at the Strategic Vision Institute seminar
on missile testing protocols and their effectiveness.
Invited to address forthcoming International Seminar hosted by Strategic Exports
Controls Division, which he helped establish in the Foreign Office in 2004, and was
its first Oversight Board expert member for seven years.
1965
Andy Connell
Elected Chairman of Cumbria County Council for 2022-23, the last year of its
existence. Also elected as a councillor in the the successor shadow unitary authority
of Westmorland & Furness, and is scheduled to take up the position in April 2023.

Tim Connell
Elected as an Associate Fellow of Canning House (the Luso-Hispanic-Brazilian
Council) in recognition of a forty-year association.
