LETTER FROM THE CEO<br />
Dear Friends,<br />
The bond between people and their pets is critical to our work at Peggy Adams<br />
Animal Rescue League. The pages that follow remind us of the strength of the<br />
human – animal connection, our love for our pets, and the joy they bring to our<br />
lives. We are grateful to all who have contributed to this year’s <strong>Publicity</strong> <strong>Hound</strong><br />
and thank you for supporting our 49-year old tradition!<br />
How lucky the featured animals are to have loving homes and wonderful families.<br />
Many were rescued from Peggy Adams or other shelters and are enjoying their<br />
new lives. All are cherished as best friends and family members. We salute you,<br />
the pet owners, for providing the homes and love all animals deserve.<br />
Because of our supporters, Peggy Adams is saving lives and giving cats and<br />
dogs their second chances each and every day. Our Lesly S. Smith Pet Adoption<br />
Center has given us space to shelter more homeless, unwanted, and abandoned<br />
animals, and make a difference in more lives. As we work to increase the number<br />
of pet adoptions, we are delighted to witness more happy tails!<br />
Thank you for your generosity and compassion for the animals. Your dedication<br />
makes our lifesaving work possible.<br />

PENNY was found by Margit Brandt<br />
abandoned and homeless outside of<br />
a Whole Foods in Manhattan. Margit<br />
brought Penny home to the surprise of her<br />
husband Blair and newborn baby boy. It<br />
was love at first sight.<br />
In 2017, Blair and Margit decided to foster<br />
a dog named Gidget from Peggy Adams<br />
Animal Rescue League where she was up<br />
for adoption for many months. Of course,<br />
Blair and Margit became “foster failures”<br />
and adopted Gidget in 2018.<br />
Gidget and Penny now live on the<br />
waterfront in West Palm Beach and enjoy<br />
long walks on the beach and bike path,<br />
as well as tanning on their lounges and<br />
swimming in the ocean. The Brandt’s<br />
earnestly continue their involvement in<br />
animal welfare and are staunch activists<br />
against animal abuse on so many levels.<br />
