3IMPACT REPORT 2022
OUR MISSION
Empowering the next generation of changemakers
10x10 exists to provide the next generation of changemakers
with accessible, progressive and tangible pathways to connect
with effective social purpose organisations.
“I went to the 10x10 event with the hope that I might raise enough money to expand
my charity throughout Queensland. As a result of my pitch, I raised enough money to
expand my charity throughout the whole of Australia over the next 3 years. 10x10 has
been a life changing event for me.”
- Claire Laine (Save Our Supplies Founder)

CHAIR’S REPORT
2022 has been another great year for 10x10 as we re-established our events post
Covid, unearthed many great social purpose organisations and founders and
announced the launch of a partnership with Community Capital, which will
see 10x10’s impact significantly magnified. This would not have been possible
without the support of our community, our donors and our people who all
dedicate themselves tirelessly to our work.
4IMPACT REPORT 2022
LAURENCE MARSHBAUM
10x10 CO-FOUNDER AND CHAIR
On the eve of our 100th event in June 2021, we articulated both a challenge
and an opportunity; how could this movement be impactful in a world with
increasing division, social unrest and widening inequality? We heralded that
the challenges facing our organisation, community, and the world had never
been greater, but that we saw this as an incredible opportunity. An opportunity
to continue to identify the best emerging social entrepreneurs and social
purpose organisations, an opportunity to build a scalable marketplace to
connect donors with their work and to leverage the wave of people wanting to
volunteer their time, skills and resources to make an impact.
We are proud to have engaged 1,300 volunteers to raise over $5M supporting 338 SPOs since our inception, and to have in 2022
re-established 10x10 in nearly all our core markets. We are now excited by the affiliation and partnership with Community Capital,
which will provide $10-$20M of grants to early-stage social purpose organisations at work in Australia over a 5 year period. This will
meaningfully leverage the impact 10x10 can create and builds a model for sustainable venture philanthropy, ensuring that some of
the best and most impactful organisations to present on the 10x10 stage will become candidates for meaningful multi-year grant
funding.
I would like to thank all those in the 10x10 community who have supported our work and our vision, and in particular thank the
Beluga Foundation, Next Generation Foundation, Karrikin Foundation and JDH Capital for their support. I would also like to call
out my fellow board member and co-conspirator Daniel Shand who has always been a great source of support, vision and action.
They say it takes a village to raise a child and this community, all of you, attendees, committee members, Heads of Cities, board
members and staff have all contributed so much to ensure that our movement can continue to empower the next generation of
change makers around the world.
CELEBRATING A NEW 10x10 RECORD
WELL DONE 10X10 BRISBANE!
The 10x10 Brisbane Project Committee shattered the 10x10 fundraising
record in December 2022, raising over $500,000 for Precious Wings, Save
Our Supplies, and the Wayne Weaver Foundation.
10x10 BRISBANE DECEMBER 2022
PROJECT COMMITTEE

CEO’s REPORT
We couldn’t have predicted the long tail of the pandemic that challenged us on so many
levels. The first half of 2022 was tough as Omicron delayed and frustrated our volunteers
around the world. This might have been a very skinny impact report, indeed.
6IMPACT REPORT 2022
Yet this report is bursting with positivity. It has been a privilege to work alongside
10x10’s Project Committees who remained steadfastly focused on our shared mission
- empowering the next generation of changemakers. They delivered deep and diverse
thinking in partnering with innovative social entrepreneurs. We even smashed a 10x10
fundraising record (as I write, incredible gratitude for the renewal of our Brisbane chapter
bubbles up). Bravo to all the volunteers named in this report - you are heroes.
It’s notable that corporate volunteering grew again in 2022. Corporate 10x10 events
typically start as a meaningful and engaging team-building initiative, but quickly
become a powerful adjunct to corporate culture and identity, while serving an effective
CSR function to channel vital funds and services to the grassroots of local communities.
We’re proud to have once-more partnered with Goldman Sachs and First Sentier
Investors, while introducing Ten13 and MA Financial to our special model of giving.
It’s cheating a little, as at the time of writing it is January 2023, but I can’t resist calling
out the wonderful crew who launched a new chapter in Tel Aviv last week. Led by the
indefatigable Judy Bassaly, the passionate Project Committee gathered 163 guests to raise over
NICI ANDRONICUS
10x10 CEO
100,000 (AUD$41,000) that will
fund: more than 30,000 meals to people experiencing hunger and homelessness in Israel; purchase two specialised therapy bikes
and music therapy equipment for 62 children living with disabilities, and; provide loans, mentorship and guidance for 30 female
entrepreneurs from economically and socially marginalised populations.
Our work would not be possible without key supporters who see the deep impact of backing 10x10. Brendan and Ellizabeth
McAssey (Beluga Foundation) are not only responsible for funding the core costs of 10x10, they have also become trusted mentors
to the board and executive team - we remain indebted for your foresight. Meanwhile, Bernard Orenstein and Angela Solomou
(Karrikin Foundation) have funded key upgrades to our services and delivery – thank you to all of our donors and sponsors.
If you’re starting to think about how to be more philanthropic in 2023, consider putting up your hand to volunteer for the next
Project Committee, or sign up for a 10x10 Corporate Event. We can provide the framework for you to collaborate with grassroots
organisations and produce a crowdfunding event that also delivers an impactful experience for your stakeholders. Think about it!
SPOTLIGHT ON
10x10 PARTNER
BELUGA FOUNDATION
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Of much is given, much is expected. These are the words that resonate with Brendan McAssey and his foundation, which
he and his family set up in 2016 after a successful sale of his childcare business. “It is of great importance to give to those
less fortunate when you yourself have been blessed with great fortune.”
And so, The Beluga Foundation was established with a clear idea of
helping those that fell through the cracks of the typical family and
government support. Its impact Was felt immediately and really
changed the lives of those who need help.
Philanthropy is 2-fold; the giving and the recognition of
responsibility. The giving is simple – it makes you feel good. Will you
miss the money, and do you really need it? The reality is no. The more
you have is just more. If you have what you want, what more is there?
Just more.
Whilst being new to the sector, Beluga’s founders have recognised
the importance and responsibilities that philanthropic giving holds.
There is a real responsibility for those who have made their money to
take some responsibility for social well-being, a role just as important
as the government and the private sector. Both create jobs,
infrastructure, support and fairness, and it is philanthropy that needs
to step up and be part of societies’ fabric – supportive, innovative,
and responsible.
SPOTLIGHT ON
10x10 PARTNER
BELUGA FOUNDATION
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Setting up a PAF – a family foundation, in essence, is taking back control of how you want your money re-distributed in
society – philanthropy can be innovative, but governments can’t. Philanthropy isn’t bureaucracy or related to being elected
to office - it can be impactful and clever.
Philanthropy isn’t driven by profit or a return to
investors – it keeps it real.
The Beluga foundation has narrowed down its
support into a few categories, mainly disability
(through employment and prevention) but also
recognised the innovation within the philanthropic
space. Just as an organisation needs new
ideas, transformation and energy behind it to
be successful, so too does philanthropy. With
innovation will come the creation of real impact
and societal change and allow those that want to
participate to do so.
The leverage and impact that 10x10 creates align
very much with the philosophy of its founding
members, and the Beluga foundation feels
privileged to be part of the journey it has been on
with this innovative and inspiring organisation.
SPOTLIGHT ON
A PHILANTHROPIST
DANIEL PETRE
startgiving.com
info@startgiving.com
I returned to Australia in the 90’s from Microsoft and so I came from an environment where there was significant giving
by people who are now celebrated for their ingenuity and commitment to philanthropy. Back then there was a general
position that, if you were successful in life, then it was your responsibility, not your choice, to give back.
IMPACT REPORT 2022
13
Since then we’ve seen the fault lines of society widening and you don’t have to walk far outside of your own front door to
see, firsthand, someone who is suffering or lacking a fair opportunity in life. In recent times, we’ve witnessed war, political,
health, environmental and social crises, sharpening the focus upon our responsibilities to people in need.
I have been around 10x10 since 2015 when we rallied for clever food insecurity, mental health and disability organisations.
I chose to get involved because of the important role in the ecosystem of philanthropy played by (mostly) Gen Z’s and
Millennials who are engaged in contributing their skills and their time. 10x10 volunteers are doing the important work
to identify the innovators of our sector, the social entrepreneurs
who are designing new strategies to overcome social problems.
The 10x10 yield is a pipeline of talent and I’m excited to leverage
this innovation pipeline with capable philanthropists who have
significant wealth to give – just like my colleagues in the 90’s who
became successful in life. Where we can accelerate the model of
invention and experimentation, we have the greatest potential to
reach a scale for broader public benefit.
With my 3rd act I have decided to focus on trying to grow
philanthropy in Australia, mainly through the tech and innovation
community. I think this group can both significantly move the
dial when it comes to giving from our most wealthy and also
show other wealthy Australians that helping others less fortunate
than you truly is the most satisfying thing you will ever do.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE
ZAHRA FOUNDATION
10x10 ADELAIDE
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Zahra Abrahimzadeh was killed by her husband after enduring 20 years of domestic
abuse. In 2015, her children Atena, Anita, and Arman created the Zahra Foundation, in
an attempt to prevent women from facing the same fate.
With access to her finances restricted, Zahra was unable to escape her abuser without
facing poverty and homelessness. Financial abuse, or the controlling of one’s money, is
one of the most insidious forms of coercive control for that reason; it often renders its
victims unable to flee.
In 2016, 10x10 Adelaide raised close to AUD$8,000 for The Zahra Foundation to help
victims of domestic violence gain the skills they need to build a life free from violence.
Since then, the Foundation has provided specialist counselling to 376 victims, enrolled
269 women into its empowerment pathway, and granted a sum of AUD$50,000 to 100
families.
Now, the Zahra Foundation is set to help thousands more as they expand nationally
thanks to a AUD$5.5m government grant. The funding will support the Zahra
Foundation to deliver free and confidential financial counselling over the phone and
online to victims across Australia, a service it currently provides in South Australia. The
discrete nature of phone and online counselling is particularly valuable for women in
regional areas. They’ll also work with existing organisations to offer a referral-based
service, set to be running within the next financial year.
14
10x10 is grateful to have assisted such a pioneering service that will help vulnerable
Australians escape and remain free from domestic violence.

ALAINA McGREGOR
HEAD OF AUCKLAND
IMPACT REPORT 2022
The face of philanthropy is changing in New Zealand. A more diverse group of voices
are collaborating and reshaping the future of charitable giving. I’m proud that our
10x10 Aotearoa New Zealand community is at the forefront of leading this charge.
In the past 18 months, New Zealand has had to learn to live with Covid-19 in the
community, and respond to the far-reaching impact of the pandemic, leaving many
people living in crisis when it comes to health, financial stability and mental wellbeing.
Subsequently, the organisation’s serving our most vulnerable communities have never
been in more need of our support.
New Zealand spent significant time in lockdown in late 2021 and early 2022, resulting
in the regretful postponement of two events which had been well underway in terms
of planning. Despite these disappointments, our dedicated committees were able to
successfully deliver these later in the year. In late 2021, we adapted to the loss of an
in-person event by organising a digital ‘10 Days of Christmas’ fundraising campaign,
asking people to donate $10 in lieu of their work Secret Santa gift. These funds were
given to three charities which helped to make Christmas special for thousands of
children.
15
Once lockdown restrictions were lifted, we hosted an event in May 2022, raising
over $25,000 for The Kindness Institute, Kenzie’s Gift and Big Brothers Big Sisters
(Auckland) - all sharing a common purpose of positively supporting young people’s
mental wellbeing. We then finished the year on a high when our supercharged event
hit a fundraising milestone for New Zealand. My amazing co-committee leads share
an exciting update on this event later in this report. I continue to be inspired by the
energy and passion of our 10x10 community in New Zealand and I’m grateful for their
support as our kaupapa grows.

IMPACT REPORT 2022
2022 was a huge year for 10x10 Auckland and
culminated in our biggest event to date in
November. We were thrilled to invite three
incredible social purpose organisations back
to our stage to raise more funds to further
their valuable community work.
Orange Sky Aotearoa, Upside Youth
Mentoring and Woven Earth help to provide
hygiene and non-judgemental conversation
for the homeless community, mentor young
people in need and support family violence
survivors.
Thanks to the room of generous donors
and the panel of three passionate Dragons
- Anne Candy, Ranjna Patel and Franky
Wang - we hit a new fundraising record of
NZD$32K in New Zealand.
16
We’re particularly proud of this result, given
our communities and businesses are feeling
the ongoing effects of the past pandemic.
The power of the 10x10 model continues to
inspire us, that people can come together
SOPHIE ROBERTSON
HEAD OF BRISBANE
IMPACT REPORT 2022
It is a huge honour to be involved with
10x10 once again, and return Brisbane
to the 10x10 map after a few years
hiatus.
Having previously championed a 10x10
event for Credit Suisse in Sydney, I
love the model, the mission, and the
magic that happens when you bring
an amazing room of changemakers
together.
Forming a committee with my TEN13 colleagues, we used our venture investing lens
to uncover some incredible grassroots organisations in Brisbane, and showcased them
to an amazing crowd on the Flight Centre rooftop on September 15th. We enlisted the
help of Shark Tank Australia’s (and TEN13 Co-Founder) Steve Baxter, alongside Young
Australian of the Year and previous
10x10 Brisbane beneficiary, Orange
Sky’s Nicholas Marchesi, and Flight
Centre Foundation’s Tyler Miscannon
to be our Sharks for the evening.
17
We’re excited to see where the
suspect the strong momentum will
carry into 2023 and beyond.

IMPACT REPORT 2022
Oh What A Night! Impact is a broad term, often summarising both positive and
negative experiences. BUT one thing is for sure, on Thursday 1st December in
Brisbane, the impact was a positive BOOM.
It was an honour to bring together the Wayne Weaver Foundation, Save Our Supplies
and Precious Wings to elevate their work by stepping aside and providing them with
a stage to showcase and story-tell to a captive and generous audience. Our Sharks
Dr Glen Richards, Julia Spicer OAM & Tyler ‘dynamo’ Miscannon dug deep into the
solutions each of our chosen organisations brings to life.
The room was magnetic. We laughed, we cried
and we connected to the core. Due to the
generosity of our matching donor, records were
broken. Following the formalities, we continued
to break records with the Live Auction resulting
in products exceeding not only the reserve,
but the ticket value of the product itself. The
prominent feature of the night was an artwork
by Birrunga of the Wayne Weaver Foundation.
INNA RODCHENKO-HIGHFIELD
HEAD OF HONG KONG
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Given the pandemic and strict social distancing rules in Hong Kong, we were only able
to hold one fundraiser in May of 2021 with a focus on those affected by COVID. But, we
managed to raise over HK$1.1M for Run HK, Impact HK, and Feeding Hong Kong!
With the funding raised at our 10x10 event, RUN has been able to take seven
vulnerable female refugees into its programme, and fund their participation in the
sport and education programmes. The funding also allowed RUN to cover health care,
rental and extra food support for forty adults and their children. This vital support
better equipped families to survive and stay healthy throughout the pandemic, whilst
living in one of the world’s most expensive cities.
Impact HK used the funds to provide shelter to individuals experiencing
homelessness, and they opened their first hot kitchen. With this support, these
individuals were able to pursue employment and get their lives back on track.
Feeding Hong Kong was able to expand their footprint and continue to rescue and
redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste. Through their partnerships they
were able to provide food and meals to senior centres, crisis shelters, central kitchens,
after school clubs, food banks, and other non-profit programmes. A new refrigeration
facility was also partially sponsored with the money raised via 10x10.
POPEK
EVENT
LEAD
IMPACT REPORT 2022
2022, the year we reignited 10x10 London! Following a few tough years over the
pandemic, during which we were limited to online and small-scale live events, we
went into planning our final in-person London event of 2022 with 2 main aims:
1. Reinvigorate 10x10 London with a large scale event, that would expand
the 10x10 London network
2. Raise at least GPB£12,000 for our three local charities
I was incredibly proud to work with a passionate and talented committee, who went
above and beyond to put together an unforgettable event. Particularly impressive
was the graft shown to procure over forty raffle and auction prizes, and to secure
free drinks from Mudhouse, Wise Wolf, Da Luca, Eko Brewery, FivePoints Brewery
and Karma Drinks (with significant leftovers going a long way to set up the next
committee for success!) Special thanks must also go to Intuit UK, who were our
headline sponsor for the evening, and to Huckletree Shoreditch for hosting the event
and supporting on the night.
Our three incredible grassroots organisations - Brixton Chamber Orchestra, The
Shannon Trust, and The Maya Centre - impressed the audience with their engaging
pitches. And they all stood up very well to some light grilling from the audience and
our three Dragons - Sir Tony Hawkhead, Saloni Bhojwani and Phillipa Hodgson.
20
All in all, it was a hugely successful evening, and we smashed our targets for the night.
We put on a great show, we raised over GPB£18,000, and we formed an excellent
committee on the night who are already planning for our Spring 2023 event. Watch
DRIVE FORWARD
IMPACT REPORT 2022
In the UK, around 80,000 young people are in foster or residential care, with 10,000
branching out on their own each year. Typically, young care-leavers will have
reasonable educational qualifications, but lack the skills or opportunities to transition
into work.
Drive Forward helps young care-leavers through employment, mentoring and early
intervention. By creating career and training opportunities with corporate partners,
backed up by mentoring and bespoke mental health counselling, fewer care-leavers
are trapped in a system that makes them dependent upon benefits. In addition, Drive
Forward facilitates a policy forum for care-experienced campaigners to use their lived
experience to fight for change and equality of opportunity for future care-leavers.
In 2021, Drive Forward assisted 410 care-leavers aged between 16-26, with 43 moving
into further education or training, 52 starting a work placement, and 91 gaining fulltime
employment. 10x10 was able to assist by raising GPB£4700 at our digital London
event in February.
10x10 is proud to support Drive Forward’s mission to enable young care-leavers to
reach their potential.
LUISA COOPER
HEAD OF LOS ANGELES
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Globally, mental health issues have increased substantially with the rise of Covid. In
light of this, my LA committee felt compelled to support the American Foundation for
Suicide Prevention in their efforts to curb the 1.2 million suicide attempts occurring
each year in the USA. Additionally, the committee sought to combat mental health
issues through partnering with Eyeshine and Up & Running, who provide social
connection, mental health support, and rehabilitation through sport and community.
Seeking to provide greater humanitarian relief to the food and agricultural industry,
the committee also decided to incorporate Food Finders and Seeds of Hope, who
provide sustainable food security. Thinking ecologically, they selected Half Cut, which
aims to save the Daintree Rainforest and protect crucial habitats for threatened and
endangered species.
I’m always inspired by the selflessness of volunteers, but even more so when they
identify and synthesise a narrative between distinctly different non-profits, whose
individual activities support and sustain one another. It is inspiring that our team was
able to select social purpose organisations whose actions, people and outputs, feed
into one another, mirroring the ecology of the 10x10 model!
As a holistic coach and healer, I thrive off seeing the healing effects of giving back
for the individual committee members, but even more so, how this work heals the
collective as we strive for a sustainable future on planet earth!
HEAD OF MELBOURNE
IMPACT REPORT 2022
We were delighted to re-launch 10x10 Melbourne with an emotional and inspiring
event in November. We’d missed being in on the action!
With the help of MaxCap Group and our enthusiastic donors, we were able to raise
close to AUD$15,000 in support of Books ‘n’ Boots, Flat Out and Food For Change.
Food For Change has been a part of 10x10 before - they do awesome work to alleviate
food insecurity. Books ‘n’ Boots and Flat Out were newcomers, supporting the
wellbeing of First Nations children and assisting trans and gender diverse people in
the justice system, respectively.
We owe special thanks to Sharks Lisa Kingman OAM and John Wylie AM, and to
Audrey Powne, who entertained the room with a live performance.
One of the best parts of a 10x10 event is inspiring new volunteers to form a project
committee. We were grateful that so many put their hand up to plan the first 10x10
Melbourne event of 2023. Bring on the new year!
EAT UP AUSTRALIA
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Eat Up is an Australian not for profit organisation that provides school lunches to
vulnerable children. By having a full tummy at school, kids are more able to make the
most of their learning opportunities and succeed in education, leading to a brighter
future.
In 2021, Eat Up undertook its inaugural Impact Evaluation. As a result of the provision
of Eat Up lunches, it was found that students’ nutrition increased by 133%, classroom
concentration increased by 75% and school attendance increased by 40%.
Working together with an army of volunteers, Eat Up is able to make and deliver over
13,000 sandwiches each week to over 650 schools across the country. To date, Eat Up
has delivered almost 2 million sandwiches!
Engaging with volunteers provides a valuable opportunity for community
organisations, regional groups, workplaces, school students and individuals to
contribute in a direct and meaningful way to end hunger in schools. In metropolitan
areas, Eat Up’s state leaders facilitate on-site sandwich making sessions with volunteer
groups. In regional areas, Eat Up partners with local volunteer groups such as
Rotary Lions, or school groups which manage the entire process. Being supported
by volunteers ensures Eat Up is cost effective and sustainable, and also raises more
awareness of the important issue of food insecurity.
24
Eat Up has participated in 5 successful 10x10 events, consistently standing out as
an exceptional social purpose organisation. Throughout 2022, 10x10 volunteers and
partners raised awareness and over $40K to support Eat Up’s mission to break cycles
of disadvantage for Australian school children.

IMPACT REPORT 2022
The 10X10 NYC team was excited to be back in person in 2022! The team held its event
on November 2 at Talea Beer Co. in Williamsburg. During our fall event, the new
committee came together to raise funds for three highly impactful social purpose
organisations serving some of the most vulnerable in our communities: The Gathering
for Justice, Trinity Place Shelter, and Immigrant Families Together.
We were honoured to have two incredible sharks join us for the event, attorney Rishi
were also supported by several
sponsors who provided raffle
items for the evening, including
IMPACT REPORT 2022
In 2022, the New York 10x10 Committee selected Rise by Sundara as one of their social
purpose organisations. See what Rise did with the funds raised by our volunteers
below!
“Hiya’s team distributed over 400 menstrual cups to low-income women who are
living in slums and tribal villages. The cups have a unique design which suits the
anatomy of South-Asian women (who are typically more petite, and therefore, this cup
is made for women who have a low cervix which will be more comfortable and it will
prevent leakages).
Before receiving the menstrual cups, most of the women used scraps of cloth or
sourced other materials to manage their periods. These methods are unhygienic and
often lead to rashes, infections and sometimes death. Some of the women living in
urban slums were able to purchase disposable pads; however, they did not have a way
of disposing of them (as there are no trash collectors in slum areas) and therefore, they
would dump their used sanitary towels in nearby water sources or bushes.
The menstrual cup is an excellent solution for women who do not have access to a
private water source or soap (which is required to clean reusable pads), as the cups
can be cleaned at the woman’s home using boiled water in a pan. These cups will
help the beneficiaries to manage their periods for up to ten years - not only will this
reduce infection, but it will also reduce stress as the funds saved can be spent on other
essential items.
26
Thank you so much for choosing Sundara as one of your non-profits - it means a lot to
us to have your support!”
2022, the year Sydney came back with a bang! A brand new Sydney committee came
together to reignite 10x10 and to support our community in positive change, especially
after the challenges of COVID-19.
I was incredibly honoured to work with an amazing, passionate, and talented team,
who also became friends for life. The talented 2022 committee were all brand new to
10x10, with only 2 having attended an event as guests. We were delighted to work with
3 incredible organisations; Street Side Medics, Warrior Woman Foundation and What
their office or out in the community as we worked towards the Sydney event.
Set on the amazing backdrop of Rushcutters Bay, Cruising Yacht Club Australia hosted
In November, 10x10 Sydney was able to showcase
the work of three amazing social purpose
organisations at the Sir Stamford in Circular Quay.
Studio A tackles the barriers that artists with
an intellectual disability face in accessing
to establish a sense of belonging.
The Committee was so inspired and really
excited to be able to support the good that these
organisations are doing.
IMPACT REPORT 2022
The amazing 10x10 Sydney Project Committee
identified Street Side Medics in October 2021 and
chose them as one of their partner organisations for
their event in June 2022.
Street Side Medics’ mission is to provide an
exceptional standard of healthcare to the homeless
community. Powered by volunteer RACGP doctors
and accredited nurses, the mobile medical vans
ensure those experiencing homelessness have
accessibility to quality medical care across multiple
Sydney locations. Street Side Medics tackles the
significant barrier to accessing services identified by
research in the area - the lack of coordination and
communication between health and homelessness
services.
Almost a year after 10x10 identified Street Side
Medics, founder Doctor Daniel Nour was awarded
the 2022 Young Australian of the Year. Dr Nour
realised early in his career that his passion was
to address the needs of underprivileged and
vulnerable community members.
29
The AUD$68,410 raised for Street Side Medics will assist with purchasing a van and
fitting it with the necessary equipment to provide primary general practice healthcare
services.

IMPACT REPORT 2022
The first ever 10x10 Tel Aviv event was an incredible success! The brand new
committee, led by the amazing Judy Bassaly, came together to make a positive
impact in the community and support three incredible organisations: Ohel Sarah,
PEISA’s Kitchen and KIEDF.
The event was held at the prestigious Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in January 2023,
providing a stunning backdrop for the occasion. The atmosphere was electric as the
crowd came together to support these important causes. The ‘sharks’ Ana Lipnik
and Noa Muzzafi were incredibly engaging and entertaining, making for a truly
memorable experience.
And the results speak for themselves - the event raised an astounding 102,000
Shekels (AUD$41,000)! We are so grateful to our supporters and sponsors, including
major donor Sir Michael Heller, PAO Abstract Art, Boosa & Co, Atlas Hotels, Nomadigo
the community. It was an honor to work with such a passionate and talented team
IMPACT REPORT 2022
When Goldman Sachs partnered with 10x10 to host a Client Charity Networking Event
at Sydney Living Museum, The Mint, the team of volunteers selected three inspiring
social purpose organisations, Brain Cancer Collective, Eat Up and Street Side Medics.
Goldman Sachs employees and their valued clients were inspired by the moving
stories of the charity founders and learned about three diverse issues. The devastating
impacts and outcomes for those diagnosed with brain cancer, the challenges for the
one in five children who arrive at school in Australia each day without food, and the
healthcare for those experiencing homelessness were explained. They also detailed
the work and vision for solutions to these complex problems affecting communities
at the grassroots. Between Shark and audience questions, and numerous engaging
discussions, the audience was captivated by their exceptional presenters, and eagerly
brainstormed collaboration ideas.
The 10x10 and Goldman Sachs teams worked together to deliver an engaging and
authentically philanthropic experience for the volunteers, generous donors and the
guests. With a successful result for the social purpose partners and the corporate
team, 10x10 and Goldman Sachs are set to work together to host the event annually.
This will allow more inspiring non-profit organisations to benefit from increased funds
IMPACT REPORT 2022
MA Financial Group, in conjunction with the MA Foundation, partnered with 10×10 in
November 2022 to support some of Sydney’s most vulnerable people. Overlooking the
heart of Sydney’s CBD, MA Financial staff and their valued clients heard inspiring and
deeply emotional stories from Eat Up, Go Foundation, and Street Side Medics.
These innovative organisations have provided food to school children who struggle to
concentrate due to hunger, medical help to homeless people who would otherwise
go untreated, and educational support to indigenous students to create long-lasting
systems change. The room was
deeply moved by the passion of
Lyndon from Eat Up, Charlene and
Mark from GO and Dr Daniel from
Street Side Medics, who dialled in
from the hospital where he provides
We look forward to partnering with
IMPACT REPORT 2022
In December 2022, 10x10 and First Sentier Investors (FSI) hosted a charity showcase
day in support of Books n Boots, Eat Up and Warrior Woman Foundation. The lunch
event, at First Sentier Investors office, was catered by another incredible social
purpose organisation, Two Good Co.
This was the second event FSI has done with 10x10, after a successful digital event was
held in 2020. This time around FSI wanted to showcase social purpose organisations
working in the education space. FSI & 10x10 deliberately selected these 3 organisations
to help their colleagues get a broad understanding of how improving access to, and
outcomes of education, is a complex problem and requires a multifaceted approach.
Having the opportunity to engage
with the presenters and hear their
stories had a huge impact on
FSI’s team and their empathy for
those experiencing educational
disadvantage. The event was such a
success that FSI are exploring how
they can potentially partner with
10x10 to run similar events globally.
IMPACT REPORT 2022
Just two days after co-leading and MC’ing the 10x10 Brisbane committee alongside
Delfina Moresco to smash global crowd-funding records, Yasmin Grigaliunas was up
on the TedxBrisbane stage.
Yas is founder of Circonomy (formerly World’s Biggest Garage Sale), a profit-forpurpose
that champions the circular economy by bringing together leading retailers,
resource recovery partners, resale channels and everyday Australians, to give new
life to still useful things. But her journey to majority shareholder and Chief Evangelist
of Circonomy wasn’t easy - it was characterised by disheartening statistics about
investment in female-led businesses, and problems which are harder to quantify; the
diminishing of worth experienced by most female founders.
Having nurtured Circonomy for 5 years, Yas was confronted with the decision to close
its doors during the pandemic, or go all in. She rallied to raise $4 million in capital in 4
weeks, despite not having equitable access to funding support as a woman.
“The statistics were not going to determine whether I succeeded in executing my
vision. If anything, I used it as motivation to move the dial and be an example that
went against the trend.”
15,000 donors - and together, we’ve raised
over $5 million at 10x10 events in support
of over 300 social purpose organisations
globally. Today we acknowledge that
your contribution to this movement has
been pivotal to the development of and
partnership with Community Capital
Credit Fund. Thank you.
Letter from Trinity Place Shelter
Dear Friends at 10x10:
Thank you for supporting Trinity Place Shelter and for your donations totaling $3,332.10 in December 2022. Your support helps to
sustain this critical work, enabling us to provide the nurturing care and resources our residents need to move beyond survival and
forge a positive path forward out of homelessness.
IMPACT REPORT 2022
This past year, we’ve seen tremendous progress and growth! We have celebrated residents’ successes throughout the year
as they’ve found jobs, moved into housing and started college! What’s more, for the first time ever, we have expanded our
programming to include a daytime drop-in for LGBTQI+ struggling with homelessness. We can now reach more LGBTQI+ youth
and provide services and care such as our work readiness program, counseling, housing navigation and trauma-informed wellness
programming.
We could not be more thankful to the 10x10 community for all your generosity, transforming this refuge into a warm and ample
home, night after night. Thank you for being an extension of our community at Trinity Place and for giving much light and hope to
some of our city’s most vulnerable young people.
Wishing you all a new year marked by good health, joy and peace.
Yours in gratitude,
43
