About us/Imaging
We Keep Science Running – Merck Corporate Run in Darmstadt
just everywhere, emanating from the
asphalt and creeping up towards the
brave runners. Of course, the organizer
was prepared. All along the way,
abundant drinks were provided and
the local fire department even refreshed
us with a cooling shower from
above.
Having passed the finish line, a warm
welcome awaited us and we were treated
to plenty of food and drink. The
approaching thunderstorm did not
keep us from having fun at the party.
What a pity that eventually, we had
to leave early due to lack of shelter
against the rain.
Overall, it was a successful event that
strengthened the team spirit. We are
happy to have been a part of it!
NewHigh Power X-Ray Sources for XRF and
Imaging Applications
The HPC high power tubes are designed
to be used in XRF and imaging
applications. As "targets", tungsten
and molybdenum are available.
10-75 kV range with constant power
consumption up to 350 watts.
The tube is air cooled and the
"push/pull" configuration enables
the warm air to be guided to the
outside.
For XRF applications, the cone
is vacuum-sealed at the base.
The HPC tube incorporates radiation
shielding.
Typical applications are, e.g.:
■ Food inspection
■ Thickness gauging
■ Scrap metal recognition and
sorting
