Issue 93
That's a wrap! January 2023 is finishing up as we enter week 1 of February. Let January be marked as the
month Solana rose above the mud-slinging across the blockchains to show that it IS indeed a vibrant, thriving
ecosystem supported by its users. In fact, this resurgence may well have been attributed to the broader
community spurred on by the onslaught of meme coins beginning with $BONK and then quickly followed up
by $FRONKS, $DOGGO and the myriad others.
Does this mean that the influencers have become rational and been brought into line? That scammers
have curbed their behaviour? Projects no longer intently rug their communities? No. Unfortunately, the
unscrupulous remain the same. This is perhaps why @SolanaSensei's recent tweet addresses these 'bad
actors' highlighting that KARMA has a way of catching up with them. I'm of the same opinion since my wallet
exploit in July of 2022. Karma will catch you up!
The #SHILLzine vault has grown considerably during this month of January, 12 new additions in the last week!
Over 350 NFTs in the vault. Thanks to the great features on NFTEYEZ I can have it scan my wallet and make a
collage for me. NFTEYEZ can even make posters of your NFTs with QR code!
Your support via retweets helps #SHILLzine reach a broader audience. Every retweet is greatly appreciated.
It has helped this magazine achieve 608,582 views across 92 issues (previous week = 595,369 ). A quick
calculation would show that this last week of January has peaked at 13k views! A NEW MILESTONE!
#SHILLzine still has pieces listed for auction. Every little purchase helps make this magazine worthwhile.
I’ll admit, I used to dunk on @mindfolkART. They were an obvious ponzi that got spread too thin. I thought there was no
way they could wrangle their multiple collections to get back on track. Well, they might actually do it, and here’s how
TLDR; stop fading.
In their own words: Mindfolk Renaissance is “an OG solana project being reborn into a powerful web3 collective” The
Renaissance was a period in history where humanity went through a transformation. It was about art, ideas, and progress.
I’d say it’s a fitting name.
14 SHILL Issue #93
Mindfolk is building a formal DAO with gamified governance
(from the previews, it looks like some sort of
mobile app experience). The DAO has control over the
treasury that is funded from mint and royalties. DAO
members can make and vote on proposals.
These tenants fit nicely into the context of Solana’s current
landscape.
The first proposal: State of One, a web3 art agency designed
to discover and onboard great artists onto Solana.
I like how Mindfolk’s team is setting the stage for proposals
related to art. Quality art has always been Mindfolk’s
strength.
How will they wrangle all of their collections into one? All
old Mindfolk projects turned into capsules of various levels,
with perks related to the upcoming mint. Here’s a guide:
To summarize, Mindfolk Renaissance is about...
Art
Empowerment
Growth
@cryptosile
It took me 18 months of coding on #solana to learn an important lesson...it’s not about what you
#buidl, its about handshakes. I have written code for so many well-known #solanaNFTs projects,
and even more for @CyberFrogsNFT, but still get faded... even @aeyakovenko. The message: team
derugged @CyberFrogsNFT with 1000 bucks more than 1 year ago, put so much work into it to provide
tons of utility... thank you @HelloMoon_io for everyday data - probably one of the healthiest charts in
the space.
@CyberFrogsNFTteam never minted a collection (or a second or third like other “blue ship projects”
did). we never took money from our holders, we just #buidl cool things, and the list is too long to fit
into a twitter tweet...we started to earn royalties wen 0% was on.
Most ppl don’t even know: we built one of the first non-escrow staking services on #solana and did
trait swapping for over a year until other awesome projects come up with that and minted a project
around it, just to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars and failed! Congrats!
We provided so much utility (some as whitelabel service) for so many projects - special thank you to
those, who never talked about it!
You know whats funny? We just keep building, and we flipped them all mid and long term!
• Solana’s NFT market dominance was challenged by declining transactions and migrations.
• The ecosystem also saw a decline in users’ interest; however, the SOL token did not suffer.
Solana was performing well in the NFT market over the last 30 days. According to data provided by
Delphi Digital, Solana outperformed most cryptocurrencies in terms of NFT volume and managed to
secure the second position.
However, despite this impressive performance, a decline in transaction count and major NFT collections’
migration to other chains, could pose a significant threat to Solana’s dominance in the NFT
market.
Eat the blue chip
One of the key factors contributing to Solana’s success in the NFT market has been the growth of Blue
chip NFTs in its ecosystem.
Well, their growth has been significant, indeed, especially given the fact that many investors have been
flocking to the Solana marketplace to purchase these assets.
However, even though these Blue-chip index NFTs were growing, a majority of the Blue chip index’s
volume was driven by NFT collections such as DeGods and y00ts.
Unfortunately, these collections are now planning to migrate to Polygon. This could be a cause of concern
for the Solana NFT ecosystem and could signal a decline in users’ interest.
Source: NFTGO
Another indicator behind the declining interest in Solana’s NFT ecosystem was the decreasing number
of traders. According to data provided by NFTGO, the number of traders declined from 5,235 to 2,405
in the last few weeks.
50 SHILL Issue #93
Now, this fall influenced the number of transactions being made on the Solana network, as per Dune Analytics.
Source: Dune Analytics
Furthermore, the decreasing activity on Solana‘s dApps indicated a declining interest in the ecosystem as
well. According to Dapp Radar, popular dApps such as Magic Eden, Raydium, and Saber have all witnessed a
decline in unique active wallets.
All these dApps observed more than a 20% reduction in the number of unique active wallets on their platform
in the past week. Magic Eden, one of the largest NFT marketplaces on Solana, observed a decline of 12.77%
in terms of volume. At press time, the overall volume on the dApp was around $21.37 million.
Source: Dapp Radar
Looking at the token
Meanwhile, the Solana token observed a surge in terms of volume in the past few days. Although Solana’s
volume continued to increase, its development activity declined, suggesting that the number of contributions
being made on its GitHub had fallen.
That being said, at the time of press, the price of the SOL was $25.20 after it increased by 1.14% in the last 24
hours.

Why aspirational NFT PFPs like @DeGodsNFT and @y00tsNFT will change popular culture and the web.
@CryptoPunksNFTs and @BoredApeYC continue to cement their place in popular culture around the world, for
what they represent AND the community that is behind these PFPs. A lesson in branding is playing out before our
eyes.
For context, I spent 15 years in GTM roles for two Fortune 500 biotech companies operating in therapeutics markets
valued at $15B to $300B. Marketing was something we thought about deeply and intentionally, especially in
an industry that is high regulated and competitive.
Steve Jobs famously said this about Apple’s marketing: “We don’t stand a chance of advertising with features and
52
enefits and with RAMs and with charts and comparisons. The only chance we have of communicating is with a
feeling.” Feelings are what inspire. Feelings motivate.
Many great threads have been written about the brand of @DeGodsNFT both from @frankdegods and team, but
also their artist, @jonnydegods:
I’m making the documentation behind every decision made on every detail of the @y00tsNFT artwork
completely open to the public. https://figma.com/file/SaV5YVDYGGr93bDftfC9oN/Making-of-y00ts?nodeid=0%3A1…
In the next few years, an NFT PFP will be more than just a JPEG. I’d argue that they communicate a feeling and
aspiration better than any photo of a person. Take this left photo of @elonmusk vs the right cover of Elon in @
TIME magazine. Which one is more compelling?
A PFP can express a person, an ethos and set of values, AND a community, better than any IRL photo. I no longer
need to list on my profile what my hobbies are, or where I spend my time, or what I do. My DeGods PFP speaks
for itself.
SHILL Issue #93
53
The power of a PFP becomes even more apparent when you think about the next iteration of the internet, navigating
in games, AR/VR, social platforms, or the metaverse. Without knowing you , I can GET a feeling of who
you are. Your PFP = you, your aspirations, your community.
I am confident that NFT projects like @DeGodsNFT, @y00tsNFT, @doodles, @AzukiOfficial, @NounsDAO and @
pudgypenguins, to name a few, are going to be next up in a major way as part of popular culture. By major, the
world will begin to see AND recognize these PFPs, full stop.
2023 will be an exciting year. Despite the market and the state of crypto, great things — popular culture type
things — have been happening on @ethereum, @solana, and @0xPolygon. The momentum will continue to
build and we’ll see tremendous growth in ways we never expected.
@y00tsNFT and @doodles will soon be uttered in the same sentence as @Disney and @Pixar. Or @AzukiOfficial
alongside Naruto @naruto_info_en. And imagine playing as a @BoredApeYC or
@DeGodsNFT in @FortniteGame, alongside rappers like @trvisXX.
TL:DR - A degen mint of 5k pixelated Ghosties known
for brutal raiding, vibrant community, and brilliant alpha.
I am looking to their next steps with anticipation,
in particular the Anon mint.
Vital statistics:
5k collection, minted May 2022
161.5K Sol all time volume
Owners: 2,162
https://linktr.ee/ghostkiddao
Genre = Multiple.
Difficult to pin down!
GhostKidDAO was originally a degen mint that
appeared amongst a thousand others in May 2022.
Initially a pure DAO play, but they have branched out
into gamified raiding (known as “Boonties”), and has
been a leader in that space. GKD have also developed
“Raiding as a service”, a form of incentivised marketing
which was a novel concept in the space.
This has afforded them additional income and has
been a hugely successful endeavour.
They developed art collabs/ upgrading, merchandise,
their own casino, and have recently launched an
‘incubator’, with the hyped The Anon being their first
project to launch.
Trading potential
Fairly consistent sales numbers since mint.
However, their success has meant the listed count is low
and so not a lot of volatility in price action to manipulate.
Not an ‘art’ play with deliberately simplistic pixel art
forms, so difficult to see bespoke trades being a significant
play either.
Holding potential
Definitely more of an NFT to hodl, as it gives access to the
DAO, boonties, casino, and revenue share.
Utility
Multiple utilities as stated above.
In particular: Alpha.
Although I have never been a holder, I have always heard
great things about the GKD alpha, and they are well regarded
as a DAO, with a good amount of WL access.
In particular, GKD holders will all have a whitelist for the
hyped Anon mint coming soon as part of their incubator
programme.
Market resilience
The team have stated that royalties have fallen to around
30% compared to before the 0% meta.
However they have alternative revenue streams including
raiding as a service, which they have successfully shared
with their holders.
Definitely better than some, but their mint raised a tiny
amount as it was basically free, so this is a concern moving
forward.
USP/ X-factor
It is a cliché, but the GhostKidDAO community
has always been regarded as a massive
strength of the project.
I would say they have multiple areas of
strength, but for me this is their defining
characteristic.
Conclusion
GhostKidDAO is a DAO with multiple areas
of strength. They remain fairly resilient to
0% royalties, but with no significant mint
funds their runway is dependent on other
income streams. Their community is a particular
strong area and sets them apart from
similar projects. They are a hodl more than
a trade.
Gods (formerly SOLGods) is an OG project on Solana
with some of the best art on the chain. There is no
other collection that has the same art style, and it truly
stands out. Long-term, the goal of The Fracture (the
umbrella project) is to become a known brand and
operate a gamified economy for its community. I have
seen them mention that the goal is to be the “Marvel
of the blockchain.” Currently, Gods and The Bridged are
the two factions on the market, and there is one more
faction yet to be released.
In terms of the team, Hex is one of the most thoughtful,
reliable founders in the space. He seems to care
about Solana itself as well, which is important during
this bear market when projects had to start working
together and communicating more. He is well-connected,
and this has allowed Gods and OMNI to make
some of the most high-profile collaborations in the
space (including John Le and other artists for Bonkz).
When Gods make big moves, they garner a lot of
attention from the space (ex. before The Bridged mint,
before Bonkz mint). However, the project has a tough
time maintaining this attention, especially when things
are in a building phase. This is normal for a project to
experience, but it gives justification to the historical big
changes in price for Gods.
Eventually, The Fracture will release a game, which
will be a P2E turn-taking game with strategy involved.
There will be lore-driven missions with gamified elements
to reward both Bridged and Gods NFT holders.
However, the Gods collection is the priority for rewards,
often passively.
The community has had time to solidify over the bear
market, and based on the Bonkz mint outcome, it was
clear that they are very diamond-handed. They have
a sarcastic, light-hearted vibe, and this can turn some
people off when they first enter the community. However,
I view the community as strong.
In addition, OMNI Creative is a creative studio and artist
management agency that aims to connect creatives
with Web3 brands. They released Bonkz, a pfp where
$BONK holders were whitelisted, and Gods received
free priority mints. Gods will benefit from future ventures
of OMNI as well.
One concern I have about The Fracture’s future is
being careful about timing of their future launches. If
they grow too fast, they will dilute the project, but if
they grow too slowly, they will lose momentum. They
have many operations moving in different directions,
and when it all comes together, it could either be a
masterpiece or a mess. Given Hex’s dedication and
time spent in the space, I would bet on it being closer
to a masterpiece. Because the goals are lofty and there
are many moving parts, progress takes a long time, and
this is why it is hard for the project to hold onto the
attention of the space for longer than a couple weeks
at a time.
SOLGods just recently rebranded into
Gods. They made it clear they were staying
on Solana, though. They want their
brand to be generalizable and relatable,
and this name change helps accomplish
that. All in all, Gods is one of the most
solid OG projects still around, and it has
a bright future if the community remains
invested and the team can wrangle their
moving parts and expand tactfully.
This week for solana has been great. Twitter is happy,
Discords seem to be more active. Solana is currently
$24.40 USD, At the start of this seiries which was only
2 weeks ago it was $13 USD. The entirety of the Solana
community seems to be filled up with hopium. I dont
think the bull is back but you dont see SPL tokens and
NFTS pumping like they are in a pico bear.
Thanks for reading Tardo’s Table! Subscribe for free to
NFT View
Most NFTs are down in $SOL value but up in USD value.
One nft example is a Degod. at $8 USD sol they hit 650
FP they were valued at $5,200 USD, Now at $24 USD
sol theyre values at $12,200 USD. This is how most
projects are currently going in price action. Correcting
down to their valued USD value.
Community
The Solana community this week has been the most
active its been in quite some time. Many people are
slowing coming back to NFTs and crypto due to the
recent pumps. The people that stayed and were buying
SOL for the low are happy that their bags are pumping
and all around just happy to network and grow their
their extra liquidity.
YouTube TLDR
TOP 3 UPCOMING SOLANA MINTS(100X????)
In this video i went over 3 upcoming solana mints,
what they are, and why i think they could be good
ivestments in the short-long term!
PROJECTS:
Mindfolk: Mindfolk
Twitter: @MindfolkART
Aventar: Twitter: @AventarNFT
Holyverse: Twitter: @HolyVerseNFTs
MindFolk
MindFolk is a very OG collection on the solana blockchain.
Reaching all time highs of 200 when $SOL was
$150 USD. They reached these hights when their native
token $WOOD was given a LP funded by royalties.
You would stake your Mindfolk OG for $WOOD and
gain “Passive Income.” This model was nowhere near
sustainable and would eventually die leading the FP of
mindfolk to crash aswell. They are taking all the feedback
from their community and turning it into their
new mint ‘The Renaissance”.
Aventar
Aventar is a project I work very closely with as i am
their advisor helping the along the tricky path that is
launching a SOL nft in this market. They are currently
in talks with launchpads to mint within the next
month. They have many pre-mint utilities out such as
their Coin flip platform and their raffle platform. They
are currently building out a fivver like platform called
“Kadaa”
Holy Verse
Holy Verse is taking a different approach to NFTs. They
are very focused on their comic books that they will
release regularly for their holders to read. They are
gearing up to mint their collection “Holy Verse Avatars”
with trait swapping and some super cool utility.
Everyone in the space should care about this
change
@metaplex introduced a new standard of NFTs
to help creators get their royalties back. The
new asset class is called “programmable NFTs”
which will exist alongside “normal NFTs”. (We will
refer to them from this point onwards as MIP or
pNFTs).
Everyone in the space should care about this
change. It’ll most likely become the predominant
standard for royalty enforcement going forward.
Most of the top marketplaces, AMMs, lending
protocols and staking protocols are actively working
on adding support for it.
It’s very likely that a decent chunk of the NFT collections
on $SOL will migrate to it in the next 30-
60 days. If you’re a protocol developer – you have
time until January 27th, 2023 to add support for
it or you highly risk your protocol not working
with this new asset class.
The very simple mental model of how it’s going
to work is as follows – it would let creators decide
which protocols their NFTs are allowed or not allowed
to interact with. This is achieved by having
the ability to modify allow-and-deny lists.
For example, somebody might decide that a
marketplace called Closed Desert (made-up for
this example) is not good for their community
and can decide to completely prohibit all kinds of
trading there.
To achieve what’s stated above, creators would
have to make a decision to migrate then initiate
migration after a 14-day grace period. Migration
will happen programmatically, and will be “all or
nothing.”
If some NFTs in a collection cannot be migrated,
creators will be informed immediately and no
NFTs will be migrated until that is resolved.
We will cover what you need to know as: - Creators/Collection
owners - Protocol developers -
Degens/NFT holders
For creators/collection owners If your collection
is immutable, you cannot migrate to pNFTs. First
off, you need to understand the short-term implications
of migration and long term after that. In
short – if you chose to migrate before main protocols
are ready, the NFTs in your collection locked in
those protocols will get “stuck” there and/or those
protocols simply won’t work. For example, if you
collection uses staking, the staking program needs
to be upgraded BEFORE the migration initiated.
You don’t have to migrate, it’s completely optional.
You can keep things as-is if you are satisfied with
the status quo. You will have 90 days after Friday,
January the 27th to decide if you want to migrate
or not.
The decision is more nuanced than it seems. The
new protocol is not “obviously better” as it comes
with a significant set of tradeoffs that you should
evaluate carefully. If top collections migrate, it
doesn’t mean you should!
Every community and project is unique and, in the
future, we believe that both standards will co-exist
depending on their use cases. We wrote a document
that aims to help you with those decisions.
Find link at the end of the thread.
Before initiating migration, you’d have to make
sure that all protocols & wallets that are used/love
by your holders have added support for MIP.
Examples of these include, but aren’t limited to,
the following: - marketplaces - wallets - AMMs -
lending protocols - staking contracts - anything
else that transfers, burns or freezes NFTs You can
@quincy_sol
A long thread on generative art for Solana audience. In anticipation of the launch of @CodeCanvas_Art, I will
do a few threads on gen art both from my personal experience and from a more technical aspects that could be
beneficial to Sol collectors who are not familiar with it.
Today, I will go candid with my own personal experience with gen art mostly in ETH and Tezos. It should give
some perspective to Sol based collectors who do not have exposure to gen art. Pieces you see in this thread
98
SHILL Issue #93
some I own, some I used to own and some I do not.
As many of you may know, my main focus of collecting has been abstract art. I started collecting digital abstract
art around October 2021 and had been aggressive on the genre until early 2022.
SHILL Issue #93
99
Once I got comfy with my collection and the genre, I started to look at something new and rather challenging,
but still mostly abstract in its look; generative art.
100
SHILL Issue #93
Back then I had heard about ArtBlocks and crazy run in late 2021. But like most things in ETH, it felt overwhelming.
Gen art scene looked massive and intimidating form the ouside, and I had no idea how to start. I could
appreciate aesthetic side of some collections but not all.
SHILL Issue #93
102
SHILL Issue #93
Then I thought of a guy with SMB pfp who I remembered
his tweets on gen art before: Mr. @DoomOperator.
I randomly dm’ed him to seek advice on gen art.
(A lesson here: do not hesitate to reach out for help to
educate yourself on new thing)
Doom since became my teacher and navigator of the
scene. I threw most stuff I found and was interested
at him. He was basically gen art OG and know ins and
outs of the scene, including technical aspect of it,
which is very important for appreciation of gen art.
With his guidance, I explored gen art scene both in ETH
and Tez simultaneously. With his help I got to mint two
of the best collections of 2022 in Memories of Qilin
and Anticyclone.
After a while of full time maneuvering in the scene, I
started to realize full appeal and potential of gen art
within crypoart context and beyond. It is fascinating for
many reasons.
SHILL Issue #93
103
To me it’s art that is originated from code that can live on
chain, is native to the digital world, and highly scalable.
Which in turn means bigger community and network effect,
while still be aesthetically pleasant when done right.
And many of them come in as abstract form, which has
been my area of liking. So the transition to gen art is
not too difficult. But it is still quite acquired taste that
requires good amount of orientation and education to
appreciate fully it. This takes time.
For some basics, “generative art” basically refers to art
that is created with the use of an autonomous system
i.e. art programmed using a computer that intention-
104
SHILL Issue #93
ally introduces randomness as part of its creation
process.
This is unlike analog art, where complexity and scale require
exponentially more effort and time, which makes
gen art fitting to create big collection of highly complex
art.
This entails elements of chance, accidental discovery,
and spontaneity that often makes art great. And computer
excels at creating art with great complexity at
scale, and can repeat processes near endlessly without
exhaustion.
And it is a genre that will only get better with more advance
tech, tools and display becoming available. (I will
go into more detail on the technical side in a separate
SHILL Issue #93
105
thread next week)
In addition to the aesthetics and being digital native,
gen art has ultra-strong and dedicated community of
artists, collectors and builders behind the movement.
They have been there through the fud of “gen art is not
art” period earlier and keep delivering and growing.
New artists and collectors keep coming and old ones
do not leave. I also found a good portion of gen art collectors
does focus on gen art alone and not much else.
And for a good reason; development within the scene
is more than I can cover even when I try fulltime.
If you are bullish on Solana for community reasons, I
feel the same towards gen art community; the community
is real and they are here to stay and will only keep
growing.
The community is so fascinating that this coming May I
will attend live minting event in Tokyo for the first time.
And it will be my first in real life cryptoart event.
106
SHILL Issue #93
As we experience firsthand with PFP, people want to be a
part of something bigger with memetic resonance. Long
from gen art collections give holder that feeling. In ETH
things like Squiggle or Fidenza are great examples.
I feel the solid community aspect of gen art derives
partly from having “long form” collections like we see
with ArtBlocks and fxhash (what will happen in @
CodeCanvas_Art). Having a popular art collection of
500-1000 pieces can create solid network effect and
community.
With big art collections of say 500-1000 pieces with good
network effect also come much more liquid and robust
secondary market when compared to cryptoart market in
general.
SHILL Issue #93
107
Discussion on liquidity of cryptoart is usually avoided by
artists and collectors for some reason. But to me it is one
of its great appeal when you can buy, sell, upgrade with
ease. Strong constant demands are there for popular
collection, even in bear market.
In short, in the past, each era is defined by certain
movement or style or art. In this digital age,
we may have more than one. But I feel gen art can
be a defining for the web3 artistic movement. And
I think it is on a good track. This is it for this week.
Again, to Sol collectors, I suggest you follow
@CodeCanvas_Art. And on this Wednesday
25th @SolanaLegend will host a space to
specifically discuss long form generative art
in Solana context. Stay tuned for that. My
thread will continue after. Cheers.
A thread breaking down the project fundamentals of Helions.
Helions Official Links Twitter: @helio_pay
Secondary Market: https://magiceden.io/marketplace/helions…
White Paper : https://docs.hel.io/introduction/welcome-to-helio…
Discord: https://discord.com/invite/Helio
Before we begin, this is not NFA but merely a summary
of the project. Hope it helps when you’re doing research!
What is Helions and what do they do?
Helions was founded by 2 founders that previously
scaled and sold their web2 businesses for a total of
$600M. Helions is a PFP NFT project built on top of a
web3 payment platform called Helio.
The problem statement that they are tackling are
threefold:
1. US Merchants handover approximately $138B in transaction fee
each year
2. Projects wasting time and resources building their own payment
gateway
links. With Helio’s “no-code” check out page, anybody
can create and customize their own check out page
with just a few clicks. Once it’s one just send the link
around for people to access and purchase your items
Pay Links are very suitable for E-commerce stores,
NFT sales and WLs, Donations and Tips and paying for
hidden content. Pay Link is very customisable and user
friendly as they allow NFT-gated payments, split payments
as well as payments using any SPL tokens
Users can customize their own descriptions, upload
images, set the price and quantity to be sold, limit
the sales per wallet and such. The final checkout page
is clean and simplistic and the awesome part is, the
transactions are rapid quick and smooth.
3. 1st gen crypto payment gateways are not optimised enough
Hence the birth of Helios, a solution that provides 0%
transaction fees and processes at a much faster rate
paired with a smooth interface that can deliver an
amazing UX.
Here’s a list of tools they provide: 1. Pay Links 2. Pay
Streams 3. Invoicing
Pay Links
Pay Links enable users to create their own payment
SHILL Issue #93
SHILL Issue #93
137
Pay Streams
Prior to this, current first gen crypto payment gateways do not support recurring payments and with Helio’s payment
platform, the issue has been solved. Pay streams now allow users to set up a monthly subscription payment
method through Helios.
To set up a monthly subscription checkout page, all the user needs to do is set the price, time interval for every
payment, and the subscription period, it’s that simple. Customers can also have the option to stop the subscription
anytime and receive their money back.
138
SHILL Issue #93
What does holding a Helion grant you?
1. HelioX
2. Rev Share
HelioX
HelioX is the premium version of Helio that unlocks more features that were mentioned earlier in the thread
such as NFT-gated payments, Split payments, 0% transaction fees and etc.
If you’re interested in using HelioX, you can either hold a Helion or pay a subscription fee for 2 SOL monthly.
SHILL Issue #93
139
Rev Share
10% of the revenue obtained from Helio transaction fees, NFT royalties & subscription fees will be used to reward
the holders. 75% of the total reward will be sent to holders on a quarterly basis in the form of USDC while
the other 25% will be used for treasury.
All in all, Helion is a fantastic project with actual use case that most of us will come across with often. I’ve personally
used their payment gateway and it is smooth as butter. There is no doubt we’ll be seeing Helion scale to be
the biggest crypto payment gateway.
Build-a-Burger is a flagship dApp that is the first community-owned, transparent, autonomous lottery
built entirely on Solana. Litepaper: https://tinyurl.com/burgerlitepaper
Background
Lotteries are typically run by centralised entities that oversee the sales of tickets, the drawing of numbers,
and the distribution of prizes.
166 SHILL Issue #93
Problem
Participants are unable to verify the fairness of outcomes and wholly depend on the trustworthiness of these
centralised entities.
Solution
In designing Solana’s first and best lottery dApp, Build-a-Burger aims to align the incentives of Web3 players
through the convergence of tech-enabled transparency, community ownership, degen/NFT culture, with a
dash of anti-authoritarian garnish.
dApp: Burgers as Tickets
Every ticket row is a burger! You don’t have to go to McDs to flip burgers anymore p.s: we will support $SOL,
$BONK and $bSOL on mainnet. @bonk_inu @solblaze_org @solana
dApp: Build Burgers
We take inspiration from the real-life experience of creating custom burgers. Each number of the lottery ticket
corresponds to a unique ingredient in the built burger, totalling 60 house-made ingredients and 1,000,000
combinations to try your luck with!
dApp: Verifiably Random
On a regular schedule, a lottery round is started with a certain operational time-interval, during which
the window for ticket purchasing is open. After the round has ended, the winning ticket is drawn using
the @switchboardxyz randomness oracle.
Community-owned
99% of ticket sales goes back to the community, always; the prize pool. (1% to operational costs)
SHILL Issue #93
Governance
We are exploring ways in which the lottery can be community-governed and will be furthering this discourse in
weeks to come on twitter spaces, AMAs, and our (soon-to-be-dropped) discord!
LIVE!
Build-a-Burger (BETA) dApp is live on devnet! http://blessedburgers.co
Test it out and tag us with the burgers you are building!
Thank you!
We want to thank @LamportDAO for hosting the hackathon and giving us this opportunity to show the
@solana community what we have built!
We would love to hear the community’s thoughts and have an open dialogue about our project
