Ticketdemand was incredible, as thehigh flying Volunteers were in themidst of their best season in 20years.After an early turnover thathelped spot Tennessee a 3-0lead, the Bulldogs respondedwith calm precision. A deep ballfrom Bennett to Arian Smithput Georgia in business. TheBlackshear Bandit then scamperedinto the right corner of the EastEnd Zone for (after a lengthyreview) the go-ahead score. TheBulldogs would never relinquishthe lead. The Bulldogs were ontop 21-6 and Kelee Ringo had aclutch interception. Georgia wouldrespond with a Podlesny field goalto end the first half up 24-6.Georgia’s defense continuedits domination as the heavensopened on a red clad raucousSanford Stadium throng. TheBulldogs tacked on anotherfield goal, and after a turnoverexchange, turned the Vols away.Tennessee scored in the closingminutes to make it 27-13. ButGeorgia recovered the onsideskick and got one more stop. Thereturn of Jalen Carter at 100%was enormous.
