In early 2022 our team began to prepare for the possibility of serving women in a
“post-Roe” Texas. This led to a year unlike any other at Agape.
We assumed (correctly) there would be an influx of clients if Roe was overturned. So,
staffing was quickly increased. Next, with threats of violence, thousands of dollars
were invested to ensure that our facility was safe.

Finally, we assessed our current services, marketing strategies, programs, and
training. The groundwork was laid to increase client capacity and minister in
increasingly complex situations. Here are some highlights:
In the spring our focus turned to the launch of a statewide marketing campaign for pregnancy centers
in Texas. Together we pooled our resources and began to compete with "big abortion" marketing
budgets. Now our centers are reaching thousands of women ONLINE before they click on an abortion
clinic or abortion-pill provider's website...and lives are being saved!
Then in the fall, our attention was directed to developing a new fatherhood program. By the end of the
year, we hired a Director of Men’s Services and recruited an initial team of male “coaches”. Agape was
also one of 20 centers in the nation awarded Care Net’s “Fatherhood Project” grant! This $20,000 grant
will provide all our educational materials, furnishings, and training to help launch our new program! The
REAL MEN program will formally launch on March 6, 2023.
Finally, our medical team began preparations to offer the Abortion Pill Reversal process. APR, now
available at Agape, is for women who take the first abortion pill and have regrets, It is safe, and using the
natural hormone progesterone, about 65% of babies are saved!
We praise the name of Jesus that justice prevailed, and Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022. But it is clear
the battle for life continues to fiercely wage...and that our work has only just begun. God is on the move,
and we've had to work hard to keep up with Him this past year! It is our prayer that through these efforts,
and in His strength, even more lives will be saved, both physically and eternally, in 2023.
Last spring, Lindsay's pregnancy test at Agape confirmed her fears. She was
pregnant, terrified, and torn between parenting and having an abortion. That day a
perfect 6-week-old baby was clearly visible on the ultrasound monitor. She and her
boyfriend, Eric, looked on in amazement, and afterward, they couldn't keep their
eyes off the pictures. But they were still completely unsure about the path they
would choose.
Weeks later, and still undecided, Lindsay and Eric returned for another ultrasound.
This time, they made a firm decision. This precious couple chose life for their baby!
Immediately, Lindsay began completing BrightCourse lessons to prepare for her
new role as a mama. As the weeks passed, she had many opportunities to meet
with advocates and nurses to discuss lessons and ask questions. Throughout this
process, she gained confidence and joy!
Agape is truly a special place that blesses many people like Lindsay and Eric every day. Not only are lives
saved, but couples are loved, nurtured, and equipped to become great parents!

We praise God that Roe v. Wade was overturned
in 2022! But since then, much misinformation
has been circulating about what this means for
women. Here are the facts:
Abortion is NOT illegal throughout the U.S.
The overturn of Roe simply gives the
individual states the ability to regulate
abortions. (1)
Texas’s Human Life Protection Act took
effect on August 25, 2022, banning
abortions in Texas unless the life of the
mother is at risk. (2)
A woman who obtains an abortion (or a
woman who has previously obtained an
abortion) CANNOT be prosecuted. However,
the physician who performs the abortion
CAN be prosecuted. (3)
Abortions ARE allowed if the life of the
mother is at risk. (2)
A miscarriage is NOT an abortion and thus is
NOT affected by the overturn of Roe. A
woman will not be denied medical care for
a miscarriage. (4)
IVF is NOT an abortion and thus is NOT
affected by the overturning of Roe. (5)

Thank you to Jennifer Shelton, Executive Director of Real Options in
Allen, Texas, for compiling this information.
An ectopic pregnancy is NOT an abortion
and thus is NOT affected by the overturn of
Roe. A woman will not be denied medical
care for an ectopic pregnancy. (4)
The overturn of Roe does NOT affect access
to emergency contraception or birth control
access. (1)
It is NOT legal to have abortion pills shipped
into Texas. (6)
