beginning of the 2022 sale season for
Northumberland. This beautiful heifer
was sired by the popular 11,000gns
Woodpark Elgin, and her dam is
the sought-after French AI bull, Major.
Winning the bid and taking Rosemary
Burradon Roxy at 9,000gns
Top price at 18,000gns Tweeddale Rosemary
highest price of 9,000gns twice, for
a pair of sisters from Messrs Curry of
Morpeth, Northumberland.
First of this pair to sell was BURRADON
ROXY, a 20-month-old heifer sired
by the popular Irish-born bull
Clenagh Lyle. Her dam is Burradon
Josie, a daughter of the easy-calving
Puntabrava Federico. Roxy will be
making the journey over to Northern
Ireland, to the herd of winning bidders
Slievemore Holding Ltd of Omagh, Co.
Tyrone.
Also selling for 9,000gns was Roxy’s
sister BURRADON REBECCA. Rebecca
was also sired by Clenagh Lyle, and
her dam is Burradon Joss, another
daughter of the 10,000gns Puntabrava
Federico. She will be joining her sister
in the herd of new owners Slievemore
Holding Ltd of Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
Two heifers reached the next highest
price of 5,000gns, the first of which was
21-month-old TWEEDDALE ROYALTY.
Royalty is another from the herd of J
Watson & Co of Berwick-upon-Tweed,
Northumberland, and was sired by
the 28,000gns Maerdy Jerusalem. Her
