The role of the Board of Directors in strategyOne of the Board’s key responsibilities is overseeing management’s formulation and execution of Cisco’s strategy. Throughout theyear, our CEO, the executive leadership team, and other leaders from across the company provide detailed business and strategyupdates to the Board. During these reviews, the Board engages with the executive leadership team and other business leadersregarding various topics, including business strategy and initiatives, capital allocation, portfolio updates, the competitive landscape,talent and culture including inclusion and diversity, ESG concerns including human rights implications of Cisco product developmentand sales, our environmental impact, and regulatory developments. Additionally, on an annual basis, the Board reviews and approvesCisco’s financial plan.
