Day 1: Fly from Ireland to Vancouver and Stay 1 Pre <strong>Cruise</strong> night at<br />

the Pinnacle Vancouver Harbourfront Hotel. Explore one of<br />

Vancouver's many parks, including a rainforest, immerse yourself in<br />

North America's second largest Chinatown or marvel at majestic sea<br />

life at the Vancouver Aquarium.<br />

Day 2: If you have a few hours to spare before your cruise to Alaska<br />

on board Grand Princess take a trip to Robson Street, where<br />

shopping and dining are the main attractions. It's the ideal place to<br />

pick up last-minute cruise provisions: sunglasses, bathing suits or<br />

something fancy for luxe, on-ship dining.<br />

Day 4: Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the<br />

first major community travellers come to as they journey north. You<br />

will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage, which includes the<br />

world's oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Centre.<br />

The Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian are all a part of the city's colourful<br />

history. Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sport<br />

fishing paradise. Sightseers will be impressed with both the scenic<br />

town and its surroundings, especially Misty Fjords National<br />

Monument.<br />

Day 5: Juneau is famous not only for gold and government but also<br />

for its breathtakingly beautiful glaciers and stunning views of both<br />

water and mountains. Meet professional mushers and their amazing<br />

canine companions in an introduction to Alaska's state sport Dog<br />

Sledding. Take a flight to a glacier to experience flying over the snow,<br />

or visit the summertime training grounds for a ride in a wheeled sled.<br />

Day 6: Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for the<br />

thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with the hope of<br />

striking it rich. Relive the colour and history of the Yukon Gold Rush.<br />

Tour the camps, pan for gold and meet a few costumed characters<br />

who'll show you what life was like during the boom-town days in the<br />

1800s.<br />

Day 7: Princess <strong>Cruise</strong>s are one of a select few cruise lines permitted<br />

to cruise the pristine waters of Glacier Bay, the highlight of your 7-<br />

day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise. During your scenic cruise, friendly<br />

Park Rangers will join the ship to share their knowledge of this<br />

amazing place they may even be able to help you identify Glacier<br />

Bay's abundant wildlife. Take in the awe-inspiring scenery as you<br />

enjoy an unforgettable day of sailing through this dazzling park,<br />

where you'll glide along emerald waters and past calving icebergs,<br />

and breathe in the crisp, fresh air to your heart's content.<br />

Day 8: College Fjord not only boasts the world's largest collection of<br />

tidewater glaciers, but it features magnificent snow-capped<br />

mountains as far as the eyes can see. Plus, during the summer, it's<br />

not unheard of to catch a glimpse of one of the area's 40-ton<br />

humpback whales feeding in the waters of the fjord.<br />

Day 9: Step off your ship into a waiting railcar for your exclusive<br />

Direct-to-the-Wilderness same-day rail service to Talkeetna, then on<br />

to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. Get settled, and<br />

perhaps enjoy an optional afternoon excursion. The 20,320 Alaskan<br />

Bar & Grill is the perfect place for a relaxed dinner to end your first<br />

day in the Denali area.<br />

Day 10: This morning you depart on a scenic motor coach ride to the<br />

Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge at the doorstep of Denali National<br />

Park. You're treated to an afternoon Natural History Tour to learn<br />

more about the flora and fauna of the area before returning to the<br />

lodge. Tonight, opt for the lively "Music of Denali" dinner theatre, a<br />

great introduction to the region's culture and history.<br />

Day 11: You'll have the morning to relax, then travel by scenic motor<br />

coach to Fairbanks. This afternoon, take a Riverboat <strong>Cruise</strong> down the<br />

Chena River. You'll get to experience Gold Rush history, Native<br />

culture and colourful Alaska lifestyle of bush pilots, dog sledder’s<br />

and Native artisans. Stay overnight at a Fairbanks Hotel.<br />

Day 12: Your tour ends this morning in Fairbanks spend the day at<br />

leisure before your evening flight from Fairbanks to Seattle. Stay<br />

1 night at the Edgewater Seattle Hotel.<br />

Day 13: Fly from Seattle back to Ireland<br />
