About 66% of crop production is influenced by Agrometeorological factors. Accuracy-based forecasts will help farmers to overcome various types of losses in agriculture and allied activities (Praveen et al, 2022). The main aim of AAS is to reduce the losses in agriculture and to increase the income level of farmers through accurate forecasts and the intervention of new technologies in agriculture. The farmers utilize the services of AAS to decide and follow the timely cultivation practices which in turn facilitated to obtain an increase in crop yield as well as reduced losses due to unfavorable situations. The present study was proposed to analyze the knowledge acquired and the level of impact of weather-based agro advisory services among the farmers on knowledge and productivity achievement. Methodology India Meteorological Department has taken up the Biweekly Agromet advisory service (AAS) based on medium-range forecasting to serve the farming community with important weather parameters like rainfall, temperature, wind speed and direction, cloud cover, and humidity. District AgroMet Unit, Ramanathapuram which is functional at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramanathapuram is receiving the forecast since 2019 and issuing agro advisory bulletins through different media to assist the farmers. A random sample of 125 farmers was selected from different blocks of Ramanathapuram District for assessed the farmer´s knowledge and perception of agromet advisory services. Descriptive statistics was employed to find out the frequency and percentage of farmer on adoption of advisory on crop production and tabular analysis for impact study.
