Conclusion
Soil organic carbon stock increased with increase in C inputs. At the end of 4 years of
application of C inputs, a maximum retention of 23.4% of added C was observed with 6 Mg C/ha
through vermicompost. The persistence of changes in SOC stocks after cessation of external C
inputs needs to be investigated.
