The SHOT (Shooting, Hunting,<br />
Outdoor <strong>Trade</strong>) Show is a Las<br />
Vegas, Nevada-based annual<br />
international trade show for the<br />
shooting, hunting, and firearms<br />
industry.<br />
It is the biggest event of this<br />
type in the world, together with<br />
IWA & OutdoorClassics (“IWA<br />
Nuremberg”), which also takes<br />
place annually in Germany. The<br />
SHOT Show is restricted to<br />
members of the shooting, hunting,<br />
military and outdoor trade<br />
industry including commercial<br />
buyers and sellers of military, law<br />
enforcement and tactical products.<br />
It is not open to the general<br />
public.<br />
The first SHOT Show was held<br />
in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1979.<br />
The show is owned and sponsored<br />
by the National Shooting Sports<br />
Foundation. It used to rotate<br />
between Las Vegas, Nevada;<br />
Orlando, Florida; New Orleans,<br />
Louisiana, and several other U.S.<br />
cities, although in the last few<br />
years it has taken place only in<br />
Las Vegas and is contracted to<br />
remain there through 2027. It<br />
attracted over 60,000 attendees<br />
to its 630,000sq/ft of exhibition<br />
space in Las Vegas. It is among<br />
the top 25 trade shows in the US.<br />

in the shooting, hunting, outdoors<br />
and law enforcement industry<br />
attended SHOT Show in 2019.<br />
The show brought over $88<br />
million in non-gaming revenue<br />
to the Las Vegas economy with<br />
exhibitors, buyers, media and<br />
other industry professionals<br />
hailing from all 50 states and<br />
more than 110 countries.<br />

Scheels<br />
In September of 2008, Scheels opened its newest and largest<br />
shopping experience in Reno-Sparks, Nevada. This flagship store is<br />
located at the intersection of I-80 and Sparks Boulevard in Sparks,<br />
Nevada at the Legends at Sparks Mariana.<br />
This 295,000sq/ft flagship store offers a large selection of sporting<br />
goods, catering for a range of outdoor pursuits and has its own gun<br />
and ammo shop as well as a dedicated archery shop both stocks with<br />
the leading names in their respective sectors.<br />
