ONLINE STUD BOOK PROGRAMME
Based on the Weatherbys Online
System, The Arab Horse Society
will shortly upgrade its registration
programme to an online state of the art
system. This system is also now in use in
some countries in the Middle East.
BRITISH BREEDING FUTURITY
SCHEME FOR ENDURANCE
Dates have now been set for the British
Breeding Futurity Scheme. Available
again either at a venue or by video
submission in August.
NaSTA PERFORMANCE TESTING
FOR STALLIONS AND MARES
The National Stallion Association
(NaStA) 2022 Performance Testing
for Stallions, Mares and Geldings will
take place on 23rd and 24th August at
Solihull Riding Club.

The National Show for the Arabian
Breed is at the David Broome Event
Centre for its second year. With
alterations to the layout from last year,
this showcase show for the breed
includes some popular annual awards:
Premium Performance Horse Awards
For 2021-2022
A display of horses competing in all
spheres including Dressage, Cross
Country, Endurance, Show Jumping and
Ridden Showing will line up in the Main
Arena to receive their awards with points
attained throughout the year to the end
of March 2022. This award includes the
NEW Winter Dressage Championships
Trophy presented by Alistair Leslie.
The Waho Trophy awarded to a
Supreme Ambassador for the breed
The World Arabian Horse Organisation
Trophy is presented each year to a
Pure-Bred Arabian in every country
who is considered a true Ambassador
of the Breed. WAHO is the Worldwide
Umbrella Organisation for Pure Bred
Registries throughout the world.
This year the UK winner of this award
is the racehorse, Zayin Achilles. A
Zachilles hits the front to win the NAIP

Arabian Performance Horse Events

recently awarded Merit AHS Premium
Performance Stallion, Zayin Zachilles has
achieved 9 race wins, is an advanced
endurance horse and was home bred by
racing enthusiast Paul Simmons of Zayin
Arabian Stud. He has already bred
successful offspring wich are now out
competing.
Hoys Qualifiers
The Arab Horse Show has 3 HOYS
Qualifiers, from the winners of Ridden
Stallions, Mares and Geldings to be
awarded at the National Show.
Biddesden Palikari - NaStA Performance

The NaStA Performance Test is open
to any stallions, mares or geldings
registered with a stud book affiliated to
NaStA. It is intended to complement
any breed society approval process
giving breeders an indication of the
performance ability of a particular
stallion against a uniform standard.
Aimed mainly at young stallions, who
have yet to show their competition
worth, the test focuses on athletic
ability predominantly under saddle.
Participating stallions are trained to set
standards during the spring/summer
and, after submitting qualification
certificates, come forward in August for
the final testing over a couple of days.
The testing includes Dressage, Show
and Free Jumping, Cross Country and a
Paces test as well as a Judge’s Ridden
Assessment.
WORLD ARABIAN HORSE
ORGANISATION CONFERENCE –
JORDAN 8th-18th OCTOBER
Jordan is looking forward to hosting
the delayed biannual World Arabian
Horse Organisation Conference in
Amman. This wonderful event with
international speakers from around
the Globe will be focussing on the
Importance of the Arabian Horse in
Today’s World. Delegates from more
than 40 countries will be attending this
two-day conference on the 9th and
10th October and subsequent tours of
studs and sightseeing in Jordan. This is
an occasion that is not to be missed to
learn about the Arabian Horse and its
influence around the world. Jordan is a
wonderful, beautiful and friendly country
and has so much to offer. Anyone can
attend, you just have to join WAHO for
