dish, Zhangzhou kilns, Wanli period, the centre
painted with the Shou Lao riding a crane, holding a fan
in his hand, amid clouds, with the figure of a deer in
the background, the cavetto painted with chilong, and
the broad rim with flowers and foliage, kiln grit to the
underside, with a border of flowers, 43.4cm diameter, tiny
rim chip
