Calvary Chapel Parkland launches New Spanish Speaking ServicesSouth Florida is a very diverse community full of differentbackgrounds, cultures, and languages. For acommunity to thrive, the people must have hope. Thechurch serves as a beacon of light despite a lot of darknessin our world. Calvary Chapel Parkland started in2019. As the church continued to grow, Pastor SteveDaigle began praying for a way to reach moreof the Spanish community. He met manyfamilies with relatives who only spokeSpanish or preferred to learn in theirnative language. Pastor Jose Llamas hasbeen leading a monthly SpanishFellowship at the Fort LauderdaleCampus where the teaching and worshipwas fully in Spanish. As Pastor Steve andPastor Jose have served together overthe years, they explored the option ofbringing Spanish services to the ParklandCampus to allow the Spanish community tohear the Gospel in their language and have the opportunityto invite more of their friends and family thatspeak Spanish. After much prayer, Calvary ChapelEspañol launched at Calvary Chapel Parkland inCoconut Creek with 2 Spanish services on Saturdaynights at 6pm and 8pm.“Our vision is reaching our community and changing ourworld. Calvary Chapel Español provides another opportunityto reach more people in our community throughhaving a worship and teaching experience in Spanish.We are praying for more people to hear and live out theGospel in our community.”- Pastor Steve Daigle,Campus Pastor, Calvary Chapel Parkland“We have a heart to reach the Spanish community. Westarted a monthly Spanish Fellowship at our FortLauderdale campus back in May of 2018 that turned intoan online experience during COVID where we wereeven having people join from outside of the US. Whenwe came back in-person last year, the need for communityand fellowship increased as people had the desireto be together with one another more than just once amonth. My wife Mara and I, along with some families andfriends that are very close to us, started to pray about thepossibility of having weekly services and couple ofmonths after, God opened the door at the ParklandCampus not knowing that Pastor Steve and his teamwere also praying about having Spanish services inCalvary Chapel Parkland! But God knew, and welove the fact that we will be doing ministrytogether as we share the Gospeland impact the community.
