Book: Pope Joan by Donna Woodfolk Cross
Recommended by: Amanda
Why do you love it?
I love reading about women who were bucking "the
system" in medieval times. This is a book that
suggests that missing records in the Catholic
Church point to a female Pope and the cover up
that followed!

Book: The Premonition: A Pandemic Story by
Michael Lewis
Recommended by: Phil
Why do you love it?
Fascinating to be taken behind the scenes of
something we've all just experienced. Though nonfiction
it reads like a novel. It will enlighten you but
also frustrate you and maybe even scare you.
Book: This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel
Recommended by: Eileen
Why do you love it?
The book made me feel like I was part of this family and the
struggle they are going through. It is so easy to hate what
you do not understand. I feel like everyone needs to read
this story just to have a small look inside what it is like for a
child who the world does not understand or want to
accept. I loved each character so much and did not want
this book to end.

Penn Hills Patrons
excellent reads and very fun!
Townsend Warner
