NATIONAL MAKE A DOG'S DAY
"Open up your heart and home to an Underdog."
That's the motto for National Make A Dog's Day.
This year marks the 4th annual National Make A
Dog's Day which encourages dog lovers to do
something special for their dog and think about
adopting an "Underdog" (dogs with physical
impairments or special needs) from a shelter.
During the creation of this book, we were proud to
discover that many of our employees have adopted
their dogs from shelters or other rescue
organizations! We hope you enjoy this book which
features all of our employees and their furry friends.
Also, we invite you to visit any of our branch
locations (including the drive-thru) to pickup a FREE
dog goodie such as tennis balls, tug toys, and/or
treats! These special goodies are limited so we
hope to see you and your furry friend(s) soon!

Chuck and Rue are
two sweetheart pitties
who found their loving
home with the help of
the Alaska Bully
Rescue in 2018. Their
favorite things are car
rides, giving kisses and
snuggling in their
blankets. They love
making friends with
everyone they meet!

MEET: Babe and Rex
Babe and Rex are 11 and 12 years old and the best
of friends. Their favorite food is cheese and they love
to run in the yard and go for car rides. Babe is the
official "Co-Captain" for every car ride.

MEET: Whiskey and Rye
Whisky and Rye are your typical brothers. When they aren’t
chasing each other around the yard vying for that single
“perfect” stick out of the hundreds of other (identical) sticks,
they love snuggling up on the couch and napping. Whether it’s
digging holes, bike riding, or simply defending their home from
the terrible mailman they will be the first to confirm that
everything is better when you have a brother to share it with!

Nyah is a chocolate lab mix
adopted from Healy, Alaska
in 2009. She's a very
affectionate and sensitive
girl, but is quite the
opportunist when it comes
to food and table scraps!
Kinley is a black lab/heeler
mix adopted from the
Fairbanks Animal Shelter in
2012. She loves fetching
balls and swimming!

MEET: Georgie and Winnie
Winnie is 7 years-old and her
humans think she is the best
dog! She is a rescue from a
puppy mill in MO. Car rides
and cabin days are still her
favorite but she loves the
snow too!! She will play
outside for hours, and she
loves to chase a snowball.
Georgie is a handful, she wants all the attention all the time,
from everyone! She loves to come to work with Mom and see
all the people, and is a regular at the fire station with her Dad
where she can run free through the whole place. She also
loves to go to the dog groomer and play with the other dogsshe
is full play all the time!

Loki is an 8-year-old Husky mix
who loves long runs in the snow
and a warm cozy blanket to
snuggle up in after.
Duke is a 5-year old miniature
poodle mix. He was adopted from
the Fairbanks Animal Shelter in
2019. He is highly motivated by
snacks and can often be found
under the cutting board in the
kitchen waiting for any crumb to
fall his way.
Sunny is a 1.5lb Chihuahua who
was born on July 24, 2022. He
may be small, but he sure doesn’t
know it. He loves to cuddle with
his Mama and gives unlimited
kisses.

originally fostered

Retriever Rescue of
Fairbanks in Dec
2021. Her family fell
in love with her and
decided to adopt and
be her forever home.
Libby is 7 months old
and was adopted from
a local rescue. Libby
and Meeka are best
friends and never
separate from each
other.

here in Fairbanks, AK at
the FNSB Animal
Shelter when she was
10 months old. She has
been with her family for
5 months now and
adjusting well to her
home!

Dottie, a 3 year old Labradoodle, is her person's shot gun

to listen if there is a squirrel or a ball involved!
Lemon, a 1 year old Aussiedoodle, enjoys digging holes and
practicing her herding roots. These two Masters of Mischief
were both adopted and definitely make life more enjoyable.

people as much as
