APPOINTMENT / PROSPER PEOPLE New roles around the region Prosper People • National audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe has promoted Matt Doyle-Healey to partner in the firm’s audit practice. Matt has more than 16 years’ experience providing audit, risk and accountancy support to businesses of all sizes from owner-managed firms to large corporates. He has a broad range of sector expertise from manufacturing and technology to stockholding and distribution. In addition, Matt has a particular interest in the education and academies sectors. • Former prison officer and founder of Sponsored Breaks, Simon Love has joined the Nant team in the role of client development liaison officer. Simon will be responsible for managing client needs and developing relationships to bring on new business at the water safety specialists. He joins after spending 15 years in the prison service. In February 2021 Simon and his wife Harriet established social enterprise, Sponsored Breaks, a unique business providing the most deserving individuals and their families with free UK breaks. Chamber Race Day off to a flyer In July, Wolverhampton Racecourse hosted the first Black Country Chamber of Commerce Race Day. It was a fantastic day for sponsors, members, racegoers and the Chamber team to join together for fun, food and a few bets. One lucky guest even scooped the Placepot, going home several thousand pounds better off than when she arrived! The Chamber will be running the event again next summer so please remember to look out for the announcement. • Leading regional law firm Higgs LLP has appointed experienced Partner Tracy Lake to head up its thriving commercial team. She brings a wealth of direct relatable experience to the firm having previously worked as a Partner at Weightmans, as well as in-house at FTSE 100 companies National Grid and Severn Trent Water. • ISO Quality Services has announced the promotion of Stacey Humm to the role of sales and marketing manager. The new role will see Stacey take over the reins of leading the sales and marketing team from MD Jennifer Appleton to support the business with its ambitious growth plans. Following a 12-year career in the legal sector, Stacey initially joined ISO QSL in 2017 heading up the marketing team. As part of the role, Stacey will also join the senior leadership team helping to shape the future of ISO QSL. 58 PROSPER AUTUMN 2022
PROSPER PEOPLE Black Country Chamber Business Golf Open Above, breakfast butties, business networking and the hunt for an elusive birdie or two were the order of the day at Oxley Park Golf Club in Wolverhampton as teams joined Chamber membership advisor Richard Brooks for the annual Chamber Golf Day. The event was held in association with Amros Golf Event Management and charity partner, Black Country Mental Health. Getting the message across Prosper editor Sarah Thompson and John Corser, business editor from the Express & Star, joined the Chamber’s Business Start-up Club to talk about all things press, PR and communications. The duo shared their top tips on how to generate brand awareness through press and public relations, what makes a good story and how to get your business news into the media. All things Bentley Chamber members were talking all things Bentley when Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors Ltd, was guest speaker at the Chamber’s annual President’s Lunch.
