Project Alpha<br />
A Programme to Explore the World of Science<br />
At CKY, every child will learn a lot of Science knowledge during the Science Fair projects and science<br />
lessons. They are so curious to know what will happen next. Therefore, we are always looking for<br />
opportunities to learn Science, in order to enrich Emily’s scientific knowledge and train her skills of<br />
leadership, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and communication for the future. <br />
One day, we found a website named “Big Bang<br />
Academy”, which offered a hybrid learning platform to<br />
turn science concepts into interactive lessons. We<br />
participated in the free online lessons and Emily really<br />
loved it after several trial sessions. Later, the academy<br />
introduced a 6-month science program named<br />
“Project Alpha” for children who are interested in<br />
Science and STEAM. In this programme, it covered<br />
topics such as biology, chemistry, astrology, forensic<br />
science and other useful life science. Each lesson<br />
introduces different science topics through videos,<br />
minigames and quizzes. At the end of each lesson,<br />
there is a unique experiment video to guide the child<br />
to complete a hands-on experiment that reinforces<br />
their learning. This curriculum matched our<br />
requirement to inspire Emily’s self-driven learning<br />
