Broward College RN-BSN Program Honor Society<br />
The purpose of the Broward College RN-BSN Honor Society is to support the learning,<br />
knowledge, and professional development of the RN-BSN <strong>student</strong>s and nurses, who<br />
are committed to making a difference in local, national, and global health. For more<br />

Iota Xi Chapter-at-Large of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing<br />
Honor Society<br />
The Iota Xi Chapter at Large of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society<br />
is committed to “developing nurse leaders anywhere to improve health care anywhere,”<br />
by promoting nursing scholarship, leadership, and service, expanding and developing<br />
strategic relationships globally and by advancing innovative and customized resources<br />
to develop nurse leaders.<br />
Robert “Bob” Elmore Honors College and Honor<br />
Societies<br />
Robert “Bob” Elmore Honors College<br />
Qualified <strong>student</strong>s who wish to enhance their <strong>college</strong> experience and participate in a<br />
dynamic learning community should consider applying to the Robert “Bob” Elmore<br />
Honors College. Current Broward College associate degree <strong>student</strong>s can apply for<br />
admission if they are eligible for <strong>college</strong>-level Math and English courses and have<br />
earned at least a 3.5 Overall/Honors GPA in six credit hours or more of <strong>college</strong>-level<br />
coursework.<br />
From English composition to anthropology to biology to statistics, the Honors College<br />
provides classes in many different academic disciplines and limits enrollment to a<br />
maximum of 20 <strong>student</strong>s in each class. All Honors sections include special projects and<br />
advanced research components designed to challenge <strong>student</strong>s and prepare them for<br />
upper-division coursework.<br />
Honors <strong>student</strong>s who complete 18 credit hours of Honors coursework (including the<br />
HUM1020-Introduction to Humanities and IDH2121-Honors Interdisciplinary Studies<br />
courses) can also earn the Honors Certificate. Honors <strong>student</strong>s also receive the benefit<br />
of priority registration and many receive Honors Term Scholarships. The Honors College<br />
also sponsors extracurricular activities and service opportunities.<br />
