THE PLAN
TSTC leadership routinely reviews and reaffirms
the mission of the College as prescribed in
Chapter 135 of the Texas Education Code. It is
summed up in the rallying cry to Place More
Texans in Great Paying Jobs (PMTIGPJ) and two
Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) describe the
targeted outcomes expected.
WIG 1:
Quantity of Former Students
Found Working
The first Wildly Important Goal is a
measure of production quantity evidenced by
growth expectations around the number of
former students found working. Former Students
includes students that leave college with no
credentials and graduates or award recipients.
Consistent with TSTC’s mission and plans to
position the College with the features of the Big
3, the long-range planning includes (1) growth
in the production of workforce (measured
by former students found working) and (2)
transformational initiatives necessary for
needed growth.
