Gitana Vineyards are located in the area of two villages in Leova district Moldovia, being divided into three areas.
One area is in Filipeni village and the other two in Romanovca village. These areas are favourable for vine growing,
meeting all soil and weather conditions required to produce high quality wine.
The winery’s plantations are located on the territory of Sarata’s steppe depression, in a green environment with
beautiful scenery, near the “Codri Tigheciului” forest, at about 100 km distance from the Black Sea.
The vineyards are located on hills with descending slopes, at an altitude of 150-200 meters above the sea; All these soil
and weather factors create an ideal microclimate for the growth of healthy grapes that provide the tastes and flavours
specific for Gitana wines only.
The vine plantations owned by Tiganca Winery are part of the wine region Valul lui Traian, located in an area that includes
localities in Leova, Cantemir, Cahul, Comrat, Ciadir-Lunga, Taraclia and Vulcanesti districts. The total area of the region
includes 43,203 hectares of grapevine, of which, at this time, 360 hectares are owned by Tiganca Winery. It should be
noted that Tiganca Winery is in a constant process of expanding its vineyards, giving great importance to the cultivation of
local grape varieties. The winery aims to revive the tradition of cultivation of grapes for liqueur wines that have helped
over time to promote Moldova’s reputation abroad.
Gitana wine is the result of harmonious combination of the generosity of nature and the human labour. It is the result of the
Dulgher family’s passion for wine production, backed by an exceptional terroir. Gitana is a symbol of the confluence of
tradition and modernity, a return to origins, but at the same time a look to the future, marking a milestone in the rebirth of
Moldovan wines.
Gitana wines are complex and elegant wines, with a distinguished style, that manages to capture the particularities and the
specific character of the area of origin, Valul lui Traian.
In 1999, the Dulghers purchased “Tiganca” wine factory from Plopi village. Even though it was in a deplorable state, the
winery was provided with the most important thing necessary for producing quality wine. nderground cellars with constant
temperatures both in summer and in winter, which contributes to the decent maturation of the wine.
The Dulghers credo is to produce quality wines with unique taste and flavour, which required large and long-term
investments, as well as a lot of indispensable hardworking. However, Mr. and Mrs. Dulgher have always known that
the most important thing in winery is the vine, and that technologies help to better preserve the gifts of the nature.
They refused to buy fermenters, as other producers do and they opted instead for wooden tuns, so that the grapes
breathed, and the air penetrated them well.

• Nose: The bouquet is intense, rich, with
hints of mixed berries and a vanilla

An intense and complex taste with
powerful tannins, and a prolonged aftertaste

GOLD VINARIUM 2020
• This is a lovely red wine best
described as somewhere between
rustic and elegant, reminiscent of a
very young Pinot Noir. Red wine
lovers will appreciate the delicate
pinot-like undertones.
• Dark ruby in color with a
noticeable scarlet border, the nose is
a beautiful mix of wild cherry and
sweet wood. Possessing a lovely
texture with firm and velvety
tannins, tasting of red-berries with a
dark chocolate note and cherry
liqueur finish.
• An easy-drinking wine which
perfectly complements roast meats,
particularly beef and lamb.

BLACK FETEASCA MAIDEN
SILVER MEDAL VINARIUM
• A rich and luxurious ‘dark fruits’ wine made
from the Feteasca grape.
• A deep ruby-red color, the nose is filled with
smoked plums, wild cherry and rich minerals
notes such as graphite.
• A sumptuous well-rounded and smooth
wine with gentle tannins and a powerful,
deeply rewarding full-mouth feel.

MARSELAN

Vineyard, Segarcea
• Marselan was born from the controlled
crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon with
Grenache.
• In this variety, unaffected by the
interaction with the wood, the
characteristics of the grape and the way
it was influenced by the terroir are fully
felt: red and black fruits, with a firm
touch of spices, long and friendly finish,
heavy, but without giving up in a rather
playful spirit.
• Recommended serving temperature:
14ºC-16ºC. It is necessary to open the
bottle half an hour before serving and for
the wine to be decanted. Any deposits
certify the minimum number of
interventions that are made on the wine.
RED CEPTURA

PINOT NOIR PREMIUM
• A fresh Pinot Noir, dominated by
juicy red fruit aromas. A living proof
that this variety has adapted
perfectly on the Târnava Mica
valley.
The color of the wine is light ruby,
with fine brick iridescence, and the
nose is delicate, with red berries,
graphite notes and floral, purple
impressions. The body is supple,
with fine tannins, perfectly
integrated alcohol and good acidity.
The taste is centered on a core of
blackberries, cherries and sour
cherries, to which are added
vegetable allusions and a discrete
bitterness. The aftertaste is long
and
persistent, leaves fruity, mineral and
vaguely mentholated sensations.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVA

ROYAL FETEASCA
Vinarium gold 2020
• Royal Feteasca has two of the most loved
characteristics of this variety: acidity and
cheerfulness. These attributes are
complemented by a flinty minerality specific
to the Tarnave region of Transylvania.
• The colour is a slightly tinted harvest yellow
and the smell is delicate with a subtle blend
of wild flowers, green citrus and fresh cut
green grass.
• A supple-bodied wine with very well
integrated alcohol and a deep penetrating
acidity.
• The first sip is of green apples, lime followed
by a lingering fresh taste.
• The finish is refreshing and cooling at same
time, leaving an elegant, astringent and
slightly bitter note, like a ripe grapefruit.
• A great accompaniment for cold fish meals

VINEA
• Gewurztraminer is a beautiful, elegant and
easy-drinking wine. With the fruity aromas
of soft elderflower and quince, this could be
fresh from granny’s cellar!
• Light yellow and slightly shiny on the eye.
The nose brims with candy apples,
pineapple and limestone.
• Medium bodied, with a wonderful spring
freshness. The finish is elderflower and
quince with a just a hint of mango.
• The finish is intense, long lasting leaving a
sweet but slightly spicy mineral sensation.
• An excellent choice when you just want a
really good “glass of wine”.
• A gastronomic wine, intense and complex.
Pairs beautifully with white meats and
grilled fish, particularly wild sea bass.
ROSE PINOT NOIR- VILLA VINEA
Vinarium multi award winning
• A rose wine made from 100% Pinot Noir. It is
full bodied and aromatic. A wine with a
“white soul and red body”, reminiscent of a
fine Spanish Rosado.
• The colour is pale pink with a discrete scarlet
hue. Lush red berries blend together to fill
the mouth with ripe summer fruits. It has an
excellent acidity and a crisp combination
flavours. There are hints of citrusy, ripe
strawberries and exotic mango.
• The finish is long, full of ripe cherry
freshness, spicy Mediterranean herbs and

CHARDONNAY RESERVA
• The wine has a pale yellow
colour. The intense aromas

lime blossoms, hazelnuts
and pineapple.
• It suits with lamb or game
meat, with fresh vegetables
and ripened or semimatured

CONTESSA dessert wine
• A complex blend of Muscat Ottonel, Kerner and
Gewurztraminer, a special wine, obtained from
grapes
harvested early and dehydrated until they
turned raisins. The result of this meticulous
wine making
technique is a small liquid gold jewel with a
high aromatic load. Appasssimento method.
Any dessert would be more than
honoured to be able to sit next to such a wine.
The colour of the wine is yellow with amber
iridescence. The nose is very expressive, with
melon,
elderflower and incense, to which are added
subtle mineral accents. The body of the wine is
supple
and elegant. The intense acidity perfectly
supports the residual sugar and the alcohol is
absolutely
imperceptible. The wine is sweet, with
beautiful citrus touches and notes of honey,
quince and candied
peaches. The aftertaste is long and extremely
fresh, leaves impressions of overripe exotic
fruits and
white raisins.
