Breakfast: Is it the most
important meal of the day?
5 Reasons why you should never skip
breakfast.
Breakfast is often called the most
important meal of the day. As the name
suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight
fast, which can range from 7 to 10 hours.
The foods you eat after this fast help
replenish your supply of glucose, boost
your energy levels, and supply a portion of
the essential nutrients required for optimal
health.
Some of the benefits of eating breakfast
include improved energy levels, increased
ability to concentrate, better weight
management, and reduced risk of type 2
diabetes and heart disease. Despite the
evidence that breakfast is healthy for you,
many people often skip breakfast for
various reasons. Let’s be clear,
occasionally skipping breakfast isn’t the
end all be all. However, having a healthy
breakfast in the morning will help fuel your
body for your morning activities.
