What was your favorite after-party room?

• CS: My favourite after-party room was not a room at
all, but the foyer between rooms at the top of the escalator.
It was a great place to see as many people as
possible, on their way into and out of the party, and
between actual rooms.
• JB: McCarthy Hansen & Co.’s and Veritext’s disco and
candy room (with photobooth that I apparently missed!):
nothing trumps sugar and beats.
What was the best part of the night?
• CS: This one is easy: connecting with so many old and new friends. I was so thrilled to see so many
people in person again after all this time. All my fingers and toes are crossed that we can stay together,
in person and indoors, forever into the future.
• NC: After working together on Zoom for two years, meeting so many litigators for the first time in real
life, including many of the members of the 10+ Standing Committee.
• JB: Getting to be among friends and fellow advocates again and having the opportunity to dress up.
Virtual reality was a necessary means for us to stay healthy, but it was (and is) a sad replacement for the
experience of being amidst a sea of lawyers all of whom appreciate a speech, a joke, and a good toast.
