AkzoNobel Powder Coatings has
innovated a new web application
3D colour visualization tool
within its Interpon webshop to
help customers better
understand how a powder
coating’s colour, texture and
finish that looks good in theory,
will actually appear in reality.
The tool gives customers
instant access to thousands of
colours in the Interpon range.
Through the clever use of a 360-
degree dynamic camera and
simulated lighting, the customer
is given a true-to-life image of
how the colour performs to a
degree of accuracy and realism
not possible before in a virtual
environment.
Rather than the image being
‘flat’, the customer can orientate
the ‘virtual’ panel to see how the
light reflects and the colour looks
from different angles. It gives a
true impression of how surfaces
coated in special finishes and
metal effects will appear in a way
that it unprecedently realistic.

Evapo-Rust is a powerful rust
remover, with a water-based
formula that is effective and
easy to use. The part simply has
to be immersed in a bath of the
ready-to-use solution, the rust
then detaches from the metal
surface and remains suspended
in the liquid.
The active ingredient in the
formula binds exclusively to
iron, removing only the rust
from steel, iron, cast iron and
chrome. It thus preserves the
non-oxidized metal and is
harmless to other metals.

CRC Evapo-Rust is a powerful
formula that removes the thickest
layers of rust down to bare
metal, leaving no residual layer
and requiring no sanding or
blasting. The treatment is fast, a
light layer of rust is removed in
only 15 to 30 minutes, a
medium layer in 6 hours, and a
thick layer in 12 to 24 hours. It
works great at room
temperature; however results can
be accelerated if heated to 50°C.
