glittering Kingdom of Sweets.

seasons has given Henry time to reconnect with his
Norfolk roots and reflect on a truly extraordinary life.
This reflection inspired the online film, At Home With
Henry, and this new theatre show. Blowers recalls his
days as a young England hopeful, how an Eton bus
knocked him off his stride - and his bike - recoiling
from a career in the City to work as a cricket journalist
before finding his way into the TMS box.

the stage by the creator of the films. Every child has one
Christmas wish, to star in a Nativity, and at St Bernadette’s
School they’re attempting to mount a musical version! Only
trouble is, Mr Maddens has promised that a Hollywood
producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film!
Join him, his teaching assistant Mr Poppy, hilarious children
and a whole lot of sparkle and shine as they struggle to
make everyone’s wish come true.

On a starlit night in Nagasaki, these are the
words spoken by American naval officer Pinkerton
to young geisha Cio-Cio-San. But as they both
learn, words and promises carelessly spoken
can have indelible consequences.

Inspired by dark and gripping real life events, this
Royal Ballet classic depicts the sexual and morbid
obsessions of Crown Prince Rudolf leading to the
murder-suicide scandal with his mistress Mary
Vetsera. The oppressive glamour of the
Austro-Hungarian court in the 1880s sets the scene
for a suspenseful drama of psychological and
political intrigue as Rudolf fixates on his mortality.

Paris, 1900. Penniless writer Rodolfo believes
that art is all he needs – until he meets Mimì,
the lonely seamstress who lives upstairs. So
begins a timeless love story that blooms, fades,
and rekindles with the passing seasons. But
while the couple’s friends Marcello and Musetta
passionately row and make up, a force greater
than love threatens Rodolfo and Mimì.

Herts Musical Memories is a Hertfordshire charity
that delivers singing sessions for people living
with dementia and their carers. For those with
memory problems, singing familiar songs helps
connect them to their memories. We’re delighted to
team up with Herts Musical Memories before our
Timeless Tuesday screenings. Gathering in the
auditorium shortly before the feature starts, we’ll
warm up your voice with a few exercises and sing
through a well loved song from the film!

bell ringer
Alan Padgett has been researching the history of the bells
at St. Michaels for the Bell Restoration project. Along the
way he has discovered fascinating information about the
bells, bellringers, Church wardens and rebellious builders,
putting it together in a book, ‘Tales from the Tower’, which
also includes a brief history of the art of English bell ringing
over the past 600 years.
2022 marks the 80 th anniversary of the death of Eric
Ravilious, at the age of 39. He was a prolific painter,
wood engraver, book illustrator and designer. He became
an official war artist and his penultimate assignment
was at RAF Sawbridgeworth in the summer of 1942.
