The Bunny mold is original to LE Smith, not a reproduction. Like the 6" Hen on Nest which shares this same base, these are "occasionally" marked 'S' on the base. May have a label that reads HANDMADE LE Smith Glass IN THE USA. 6" long. Bunny No. 855 lid was paired with Hen on Nest Egg plate No. 8210 to create Bunny Deviled Egg, No. 8220. No known reproductions. It is not known who acquired the mold after LE Smith Glass Company permanently closed. In August of 2005, 35 former LE Smith employees returned to make glass for customers such as Williams Sonoma, QVC and Rosso Wholesale**. Kelman formed his new company, Port Augustus Glass Co. LLC, named after a town in his native country, Scotland. The new Rabbits were sold as LE Smith, in Smith boxes, having Smith labels and occasionally had an 'S' logo. **Blue and Caramel or Green milk glass, (also carnival) Bunnies were sold by Rosso Wholesale. Blue milk glass was not for sale at the same time as Caramel/Green (also carnival).
