Message from the Principal
Firstly, let me congratulate all of you on the success you have achieved against the backdrop of the
COVID-19 pandemic during this Academic Year 2021-2022. It has been a challenging academic year for
everyone as we spent the majority of the year having to conduct lessons and assessments online. All of you
have demonstrated the values that SISB constantly advocates - independence, respect, resilience, and
responsibility, which have allowed you to navigate through this pandemic successfully.
Even with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, our students could still shine like stars in the universe in many
areas. Our class of 2022 was able to achieve a record of more than 170 university offers from around the
world.

This year, we also saw our first batch of graduating IBDP students taking the IBDP Examination and I am proud that all students
successfully graduated from the Diploma Program. With the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions, we also held an End of Year concert
where we saw many students showcase their singing and dancing. I am sure the photographs in this yearbook will allow you to bring
back fond memories of events that took place this academic year.
All these successes were made possible through the strong support of various school stakeholders. On this note, I would like to extend my
heartfelt appreciation to all school stakeholders.
With the above, we look forward to the new academic year with optimism as we aim to build on our successes and continue to “Run the
race with perseverance,” which is the theme for our new academic year.

Academic Year 2021-2022

VOLUNTEERING WORK - POST-EXAM
A group of Grade 10 students call
themselves DreamUnity and they aim to
use their time and energy to raise funds
and awareness for a variety of causes,
one of which is children’s health and
safety. On 17th June, they participated in
a fundraiser event organised at the
Nopparat Ratchathani Hospital, where
they helped collect donations and sold
items to raise funds for children.

FOBISIA ENVIRONMENT CONFERENCE
On 26 April 2022, Hawkie (G7 Archimedes),
Meiji (G7 Einstein), Earth (G7 Newton), Shasha
(G7 Pasteur) , Cake (G8 Austen) , Muk and Boss
(both G8 Hemingway), Matt (P6 Peace), Gapp
and Ella (both P6 Hope) participated in the
FOBISIA Environment Conference at Bangkok
Prep Secondary Campus. This student
environmental conference was indeed an
eye-opening event for our students to
experience a variety of activities - orienteering
around Chul Farm while learning about
sustainable farming and environmental issues,
upcycling PVC pipes to house plants, and
more. They also attended sessions helmed by
various speakers who are at the forefront of
environmental solutions in their respective
fields.

MUSIC RECITAL
On April 1st, 2022, the Sixth Form School
organised our Music Recital. The purpose
of this event was to showcase our Music
IGCSE, AS & A Level students to
Cambridge for their final assessments.
Our students put in tremendous effort into
preparing for this recital. We hope that
you have enjoyed the show and the
results of their hard work.

SONGKRAN
On 1st April, our Sixth Form students and
teachers came decked out in traditional Thai
attire and flower-motiff shirts in celebration of
Songkran, or the Thai New Year. Students paid
their respects to the school leaders and
teachers and sought their blessings by pouring
water on their hands as part of Thai tradition.
We wish the entire SISB community a very
happy and safe Songkran in advance!

CHINESE NEW YEAR
On Jan 27th, SISB Sixth Form school had a fantastic
and unique online Chinese New Year celebration
led by the Chinese department. Our extremely
talented students had the opportunity to
participate in this event showing their talents and
skills, such as singing, dancing, and playing many
kinds of musical instruments. We are very proud of
our hardworking students, teachers and
supportive parents!

VACCINATION DAY
More than 200 students from Pracha Uthit and
Thonburi campuses received their second dose of
COVID-19 vaccine. We would like to thank our
parents for their support in accompanying their
children for the vaccination. SISB will continue to
do our best to ensure the safety of our students
and our staff.

Congratulations to Anon Taulananda (Ty)
of G9 Mozart and Kritin Vongrungrot (Mess)
of P4 Faith! Both performed very well in the
16th Thailand Junior Chess Championship
2021 at Central Plaza Chaengwattana,
Bangkok, held on 5-14 November 2021.
Ty got 1st Runner-up in the U-16 category
and will represent Thailand in the
international events.
Messi got 1st Runner-up in the U-10
category and was selected to join the
Thailand National Chess Team again. He
will be part of the U-10 team to represent
Thailand and compete in the upcoming
international chess events.

ENGLISH GENIUS AWARD

Gymnastics Championships on 8-11 April
2022. Mulan won two bronze medals in the
Ball and Clubs categories of Rhythmic
Gymnastics Pre-Junior. Great job,

PUBLIC SPEAKING
Congratulations to Natthanun
Tonprasert (Mimie) and Wannuwat
Jitsuparp (Jeffrey) of G11 Socrates! Both
performed very well in the 1st and 2nd
rounds of the National Public Speaking
Competition 2022 led by the Bureau of
International Cooperation, Ministry of
Education, Thailand. Only 7 students out
of 131 candidates in Thailand entered
the final round. We are so proud of them
and wish them the best of luck for the
Grand Final on 2 April 2022.

SWIMMING
On 19-22 March, Panas Munputkul (Brook)
of G7 Archimedes from the SISB Merlions
Swimming Academy participated in the
THAIOIL Thailand Swimming
Championships 2022 at the Sports
Authority of Thailand. Brook won a silver
medal in the 200m Butterfly and a bronze
medal in the 100m Backstroke of the 12-13
years old category. Well done!
