Konark Sun Temple
Konark temple was built in 1250 AD and it is in Odissa. It is also known as Black Pagoda. It is dedicated to
the Sun god. Konark temple’s architectural design is Kalinga architecture. It is designed as a massive chariot
mounted on 12 pairs of intricately carved giant stone wheels that are drawn by a set of seven mighty stone
horses. And, the materials used for Constuction are Chlorite, Laterite, and Khond alite. The temple was
actually conceived to symbolize the emergence of Sun-God with twelve pairs of wheels and seven horses.
Buddhavanam Park
Buddhavanam park is the first theme park in Telangana,India having many thematic
segments depicting major events from the life of Gautama Buddha and his previous birth
stories. This theme park is extended to278 acres of land on the northern bank of the river
Krishna at Nagarjunasagar in Nalgonda district . It is divided into eight segments with
an elegant entrance plaza and buddist education centres such as monasteries,buddhist
art and craft village,buget hotes and resorts,auditoriums and a meditation centre .
Buddhavanam theme park was developed to attract local as well as foreign
tourtists,particularly those coming from south east asian contries.
