Hydroponic Farming
Success Story of Rahul Dhoka
Rahul’s family is originally from Rajasthan, but he grew up in Chennai graduated in
industrial biotechnology from Anna University, and later moved to the UK. Having lived in
the UK, he knew that organic food was in vogue. In India, on the other hand, this market
was less explored. He established Green Rush Organics to cater to retail stores in India
five years ago. YouTube and The Internet guided him, and so his journey into
Hydroponics Farming began. “Within one year, I was able to use the vertical farming
technique and grow 6,000 plants. My initial idea was to commercially grow Italian basil
and mint since it has a great market here, and thankfully it did get a good response.”
Benefits of Hydroponic Farming
Water conservation: Hydroponic systems use about 10 times less water because it’s delivered in a
controlled way. Plus, recirculate water, reducing consumption even more!
Faster Growth: Plants grown in the hydroponic system grow 30% to 50% faster than those in soil.
Crops grow faster in hydroponic systems because they receive an ideal amount of nutrients and if
grown indoors, have less environmental stress.
No Soil Erosion: Field agricultural practices have eroded half of the soil on Earth in the last 150
years.
Saves Space: Roots don’t need to spread in a hydroponic system because water and nutrients are
delivered right to them. As a result, a hydroponic system can grow more in the same amount of
space as a soil-based system.

Konark Sun Temple
Konark temple was built in 1250 AD and it is in Odissa. It is also known as Black Pagoda. It is dedicated to
the Sun god. Konark temple’s architectural design is Kalinga architecture. It is designed as a massive chariot
mounted on 12 pairs of intricately carved giant stone wheels that are drawn by a set of seven mighty stone
horses. And, the materials used for Constuction are Chlorite, Laterite, and Khond alite. The temple was
actually conceived to symbolize the emergence of Sun-God with twelve pairs of wheels and seven horses.
Buddhavanam Park
Buddhavanam park is the first theme park in Telangana,India having many thematic
segments depicting major events from the life of Gautama Buddha and his previous birth
stories. This theme park is extended to278 acres of land on the northern bank of the river
Krishna at Nagarjunasagar in Nalgonda district . It is divided into eight segments with
an elegant entrance plaza and buddist education centres such as monasteries,buddhist
art and craft village,buget hotes and resorts,auditoriums and a meditation centre .
Buddhavanam theme park was developed to attract local as well as foreign
tourtists,particularly those coming from south east asian contries.

Music
History :The mridangam is an ancient Indian instrument and is likely to be thousands of
years old—since India has one of the oldest and most sophisticated traditions of
rhythm. The exact origin is unknown but the instrument plays a role in many stories of
gods and exists in paintings and sculptures from as early as 200 BCE.
Origin : The origin of mridangam goes back to the Indian mythologies wherein it is stated
that Lord Nandi , who was the escort of Lord Shiva was a master percussionist and used to
play the mridangam during the performance of the " Taandav " dance by Lord Shiva.
Significance :To this day it remains the leading percussion accompaniment for Carnatic
music – vocal and instrumental – as well as for all South Indian classical dance forms.
Artists: 1. Palghat Mani Iyer- He was born in 1912. he died in 1981. He was one of the
leading mridangists in the field of carnatic music.
2. Guruvayur Dorai- He was born in 1935. He started to play mridangam at a very young
age. His gurus were the palghat Scbbha Iyer and Pazhani Subramanya Pillai.
Highlight : As Gurugram is host to many Kathak Shows, it is often also host to
unnumberable Mirdangam Players
