JENNIFER PATTON

ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Jen and this is a little bit about myself. First, I must say this project was a lot of fun.
Like a book from my gradeschool years lol. I don’t know if children today still do book reports, but when
I was in school, they were required and boy did I dread reading the assigned books then having to
summarize them! I loved reading books that interested me and hopefully this will interest you. I created
it for anyone that needs help with identification. For the novice glass collectors that buy animal covered
dishes because they fall in love with the way they look or the type of animals they are, or simply for
their colors. For the avid collectors who enjoy buying a few of each animal regardless of the maker. For
the veteran collectors who may have hundreds of glass dishes who never cease to amaze me with their
beautiful collections. For the people that have inherited or purchased someone’s entire collection or
part of a collection and need help to identify things. For the people like me that are meticulous about
every detail needing to label things and just absolutely need to know the whats, whens, whos, hows and
whys of the animal dishes they own. For me, what started with one Asian yellow stained glass bunny on
a nest, has flourished into a full blown collection of hundreds of mixed and matched animal covered
“candy” dishes of all glass types and colors. No particular glass maker, just everything I can’t live
without. LOL. Anyone that knows me would tell you that I stop at nothing, studying book after book
searching for answers about my own glass animals until I find them. I have never been satisfied with a
mystery….unless it involves me watching Columbo, my lifelong favorite television program! I am a
mystery solver... a true detective. I get this from my Mother, Cindy -Sultana- Wheatley. I need to get to
the bottom of a piece of unidentified glass. It drives me bananas not to know everything I can about
each piece that I own. Next, I will tell you that the monetary value of my glassware means nothing to
me. I collect it because I love it. However, unique and rare is always a find! Sure, like every collector, I
love a bargain and have had to pass up many pieces that I could not afford. Ooooh the ones that got
away. They haunt me. I can assure you that when I get a new addition to my collection, it has found its
forever home. Someone before me and usually possibly before them owned these animal covered
dishes making a kind of history that I can only imagine in my mind, its importance to each person. There
is a reason behind every single glassware in every single dwelling. Glass symbolizes many things. It is
proudly displayed. It is important to the person who owns it. I enjoy seeing the happiness glassware
brings to people, especially these animal covered dishes. Who doesn’t love animals? I also enjoy seeing
my collection knowing these pieces of history live on and hope that when I am long gone, they will be in
other homes. My glass brings me peace; most peaceful in the evenings when the cabinet lights are on
and the glass does its natural thing; what it was intended to do since the day it was made...look pretty!
To me, it is reminiscent of having a year round Christmas Tree. Glass is AMAZING! I am a country girl
through and through. I love all things nature. I am an avid bird watcher and an all around animal lover. I
live in the beautiful state of Kentucky with my husband and our two dogs, Monkey and Johnnie, who by
the way, is named after my all time favorite singer, Johnny Cash.

Westmoreland Glass company
(WG) Westmoreland Glass Company in Grapeville, Pennsylvania began as Westmoreland
Specialty Company (WSC) in 1889. The name changed in 1924 to Westmoreland Glass
Company. WSC produced milk glass animal covered dishes that were marketed as kitchen
containers. These dishes were marked with mold numbers between 1 and 6. These numbers
can help collectors identify between animal covered dishes made by WSC or by
Westmoreland Glass Company. The first WG logo ('W' atop a 'G') wasn't created until 1948.
The WSC lids and bases usually have unmatched numbers. Original dishes were filled with
mustard and other condiments and sealed with wax and sold at very low costs. WSC
condiment containers were produced between 1900-1920.
Westmoreland Glass Company made several reproductions and also created new works.
Westmoreland paired some animal lids with the lacy (dancing sailor) bases, both oval and
rectangular and with Diamond Weave Bases. WG diamond bases can be easily identified by a
cross pattern on the bottom. Kanahwa used a similar diamond weave base, but theirs lacks
the cross. Kemple also produced large animals on diamond weave bases and with closer
examination, you can spot the differences, the largest being that Kemple's have a 2 inch ring
on the bottoms of the bases which may or may not be marked 'K'. Another difference is that
many of the WG bases are marked with WG logo ('W' atop a 'G'). Greentown used a 5"
diamond weave base with a cross pattern on the bottom but the diamonds are stretched
wider and shorter. Westmoreland also used a wide ribbed base for some 5" animal dishes.
The mid 50's through the late 70's was a time of prosperity for Westmoreland Glass
Company. New Glass colors were added often. Exciting marble colors in Green, Blue, Purple,
Orange, Brown, and Ruby were created by chemist Dwight Johnson. Ruby marble proved to
be the most difficult to create. On top of sensitivity to cracking and breaking, namely the
ruby marble bases, the colors were not consistent. A variety of color results came from Ruby
Marble such as mixes of Reds, Oranges, Yellows and maybe even Butterscotch. Though other
Ruby Marble animal covered dishes were produced, the only cataloged Ruby Marble piece
was the 5" Cat on Wide Ribbed Base. (Slag & Marble Glass THE PROMINENT YEARS, 1959-
Westmoreland glass company
For 43 years, between 1937 and 1980 Westmoreland was owned and operated by James J.
Brainard and his son James H. Brainard. By 1980, the glass company was struggling and WG
was sold to a man by the name of David Grossman in 1981. He tried to keep the company
above water unsuccessfully. He did, however, change the original 'W' atop 'G' logo to a new
circular WESTMORELAND III logo. The factory was kept afloat for a few more years being
commissioned to pour glass for others for example, Levay Distributing. WG exclusively
produced 5 Butterscotch Slag Iridescent animals on nests for Jennings Red Barn in 1982. WG
also made slags in red, purple, blue and caramel for L.G. Wright in 1982. They poured 13
different molds for a new Chocolate line for L.G. Wright in 1983. In 1983, the final year of the
Westmoreland Glass Company, the owner of Levay Distributing, Gary Levi, had full control of
Westmoreland operations . Westmoreland was pouring glass for Levay's glass molds, some
of which were owned by Mr. Levi and some were borrowed from the Westmoreland Factory.
These animal covered dishes for Levay Distributing Company were produced between 1977-
1980 and in 1982. Many pieces were done in marbled colors, but were called slag colors by
Levay. Most of the animal covered dishes had a carnival or iridescent finish. All Levay items
were limited in number. All Levay pieces by WG were marked with the old WG logo.
Westmoreland glass was well made. Their milk glass was much heavier and thicker than milk
glass by other makers. Westmoreland molds were sold and reproduced by many glass
companies. In the end, Westmoreland owned nearly 3500 glass molds and prior to the
auction of 1985, Gary Levi purchased quite a few. Since some molds were duplicates, two
different glass companies purchased the same mold. Levay purchased molds: Raised Swan,
Mother Eagle, Robin on Twig Nest and all the 7" and 8" animal dish molds. Rosso purchased
molds: 5 inch animal dishes ; Rabbit on picket fence base, Rabbit on wide ribbed base,
Pintail Duck, Closed neck Swan, Lion on wide ribbed base, Cat on wide ribbed base, Rooster
on wide ribbed base and Hen on diamond weave base. Also the standing Rooster. Summit
purchased molds: 1000 eye Turtle, Resting Camel, Duck on oval base, Duck salt, Duck with
base, 5" Hen lid and 7" Hen dish. Fenton purchased molds: Lamb on picket fence, Lion on
picket fence, Rabbit with eggs and 7" Rooster lid, Viking purchased mold: Lovebirds on a
nest. Mold list from (Glass Review magazine, Vol. 15, No. 2, Feb 1985 pp24-31) Plum Glass
purchased molds: 5" Rooster on wide ribbed base and Hen on diamond weave base. In 1996,
fire destroyed parts of the factory and over 3000 molds were lost in the blaze. It was arson.
Westmoreland Glass company
Westmoreland placed labels that read Westmoreland hand made milk glass on some milk
glass items and Westmoreland hand made glass on most glass ware items. After the WG logo
('W' atop 'G') was created in 1948, it became a permanent part of their molds. In 1982 the
new WG logo was created and it was placed into the molds, replacing the older logo. All
animal covered dishes with the new WG logo (circle WESTMORELAND III) are reproductions
by other glass companies. The molds were sold to other glass companies and they did not
remove the Westmoreland logos. It's a shame because it can confuse collectors. Especially
when a seller sees Westmoreland stamped right into the glass base and sells it as a
Westmoreland, the buyer may not have been informed. This is the case on ebay 99 % of the
time. ******There is an exception to the rule****** with the new circle WESTMORELAND III
logo!!! The glass factory produced a few 5 inch animal dishes with the new logo before the
doors closed for good in 1984. These animals were made in 1983/'84 in Ruby carnival, Ruby,
Black Carnival and Black (not to be confused with the black milk glass of the 1950's). The
entire inventory of these 4 colors was also sold off. They are authentic Westmoreland items.
They have the new logo. All production ended by January 8, 1984. The company had ended
after 95 years. In 1996, most of the factory was destroyed by fire. If you visit Grapeville,
Pennsylvania, you can still see parts of the factory today such as the furnace.
westmoreland resting camel
The Westmoreland Resting Camel is not a reproduction. It is an original. Vallerysthal
of France produced a Dromedary Camel circa 1902, but the camels have no
similarities. Westmoreland's camel was coined with the nickname "Humphrey"
because Humphrey was a commonly used name for most camels. Resting Camel dish
appeared in a 1924 catalog. The first camels were made in milk glass colors and were
not marked. The WG logo wasn't created until around 1946. The camel was
reintroduced in additional colors by the late 1960's. In 1975 Westmoreland produced
the camel for AA Importing Company. The AA camel was only available in blue milk
glass and was marked with WG logo. Westmoreland continued production of
Humphrey between 1950's-1980's. These were marked with a small WG logo inside
the lid and some marked WG on base. May have a WG label on top of the lid. 6" long.
Produced for AA Importing in 1975. Only in Blue milk glass. The Blue may be
slightly streaked with White. May be unmarked. May have old WG logo.
Produced for Levay Distributing by Westmoreland. 1978-1980. Marked with old
WG logo. No Levay etching present, ie: numbers, dates.
Reproduced by Summit Art Glass. 1984-2005. Vogelsong acquired the mold after
Westmoreland Glass Factory closed in 1984. Marked with new WG circle
wESTMORELAND CAT ON rectangular LACY BASE
Westmoreland (WG) Cat on Rectangular Lacy Base is a reproduction of the original
1889 Atterbury Cat on Lacy Base. WG cat was new in the 1950's. Cat has applied glass
eyes in Brown or Blue colors with dark pupils. The lid sits atop a lacy base aka
dancing sailor base. Quick ID tips by photo: WG cat has a small space between its
front paw and the top ledge of the dish. Atterbury cat has no space. WG cat's eyes
are larger. WG cat nose is narrower. Some WG marbled cats lids are seen atop white
milk glass bases. These are not marriages. Westmoreland glass factory paired
slag/marbled colored lids with matching bases and with white bases. Marked with
old WG logo in lid and on base. May have a WG label. 8 1/2" long.
Produced for AA Importing in 1972 by Westmoreland in Blue milk glass only.
It may have streaks of white throughout. Unmarked.
Produced for Levay by Westmoreland 1978/'79. May be WG COLORS:
westmoreland cat on wide ribbed base
Westmoreland Cat on Wide Ribbed base first appeared in the early 1900's. It was made by
Westmoreland Specialty Company (W.S.C.) Early produced Cats were made in Blue milk glass,
Blue milk glass/White head, White milk glass, White milk glass/Blue head, and Amber. Milk
glass Cats may be decorated with paint. It is not known when the early productions of the Cat
ended, but considering other W.S.C pieces, it was likely before 1920. Base & lid numbered 1
through 6. Embossed logos hadn't been created yet. 5 1/2" long.
Around 1950, the Cat was reintroduced by Westmoreland Glass Company. In addition to White
or Black milk glass. It was made in marble or iridized colors later. After 1982, the new circular
logo was used on Ruby and Black Cats. These are the only two with new logos that are
Westmoreland originals. They were produced the final year of WG operations after the logo
was changed. May be marked with both old and new logo. All other 5.5" Cats on wide ribbed
bases with new WESTMORELAND III logos are reproductions. Original Westmoreland Cat is
marked with old WG logo, W atop G in lids and bases 5 1/2" long.
Produced for Levay Distributing Company by Westmoreland 1978-1982/'83. May be etched
Levay, dated and numbered. May be unmarked.
Produced for AA Importing in Purple Slag in 1975 by Westmoreland. Marked WG.
Reproduced by Rosso Wholesale Glass in many colors. Reproduction Cats have the new
WESTMORELAND III logo. All Cats on wide ribbed bases with new logos were produced for
Rosso by Mosser Glass. Rosso purchased the cat mold along with Westmoreland's
Westmoreland PinTail Duck
Westmoreland Pin Tail duck on a Nest was made by Westmoreland Specialty Company
(WSC). This original duck dish was made as a condiment container in 1915. WSC duck sits
atop a diamond weave basket base. The duck tail abruptly ends, looking like the tip broke
off. The duck bill is long and angled somewhat downward. Some older ducks are marked
with a number, or unmarked. These would have had Westmoreland label. Westmoreland
reissued the pintail duck in the 1950's, on a wide ribbed base. The Levay duck is on atop a
wide ribbed base, but a diamond weave base is acceptable. 5 1/2" long x 4 1/8" high.
Produced for Levay by WG on wide ribbed base. 1980-'84. Marked with new WG logo,
WESTMORELAND FOX on nest
Westmoreland Fox is named Fox on Oval Base or Fox on Lacy Base. Because many
were paired on diamond weave bases, I titled this page only as Fox on Nest. The
Westmoreland Fox is a reproduction of the original 1889 Atterbury Fox. The
difference is Atterbury Foxes have patent dates inside the lids. The Fox wasn't a
popular selling Westmoreland animal covered dish and not many were produced.
Even fewer were shown in catalogs. WG Fox has applied glass eyes and is beautifully
detailed. Foxes may be on 2 different bases depending on the colors made. Base and
lid marked with the old WG logo. Approx. 7 1/2" long.
Produced for A.A. Importing by Westmoreland in 1972. Only in Blue Milk Glass which may
have White streaking throughout. Diamond Weave Base/Lacy Base. Glass eyes. Unmarked.
138 Purple Slag Foxes were produced and sold to Levay Distributing in 1977. Glass eyes.
Not etched by Levay with numbers or dates. Marked with old WG logo. Gary Levi
acquired the Fox mold after Westmoreland Glass Factory closed in 1984.
Fenton produced the Fox in 1993 in a fiery Orange Ruby Marble. Fox lid was commissioned
from Levay. The smooth rimmed base belonged to Fenton. Glass eyes. Base marked 'F'
inside oval. Top may be marked old WG. ***RARE***
*1982 Ruby Slag on Diamond Weave Base was very limited in quantity due to production
problems. Westmoreland Ruby marble/slag glass had a tendency to crack and break during
cooling. If Ruby Slag Foxes are on smooth rim CT style bases, these were most likely factory
marriages because of production complications with originally planned Diamond Weave Bases.

Westmoreland lamb on picket fence
Westmoreland Lamb on Picket Fence is an original, not a reproduction. It was first produced
by Westmoreland Specialty Company (WSC) circa 1900 when the Lions and Rabbits on the
same bases were created. WSC ended in 1920, becoming Westmoreland Glass Company, so it
is to be understood that early production lambs in milk glass colors stopped before the name
change, the same time as the Lions and Rabbits on picket fence bases ended. Lamb's head is
turned to the left. Westmoreland Glass Company reintroduced the Lamb in new colors.
Original Lamb base and lid numbered 1, 2 or 3. These numbers are most likely mold numbers.
Newer Lambs' bases and lids are marked with number and the old WG logo. 5 3/8" long.
Exclusively produced for AA Importing by Westmoreland. Only in Purple slag. 1975.
Special order: Exclusively produced for Jenning's Red Barn by Westmoreland. Only in
Butterscotch Slag Iridescent. 1982.
Special order: Produced for The GOLDEN LAMB, Ohio's Oldest Inn, Lebanon, Ohio by WG.
Sold by the Golden Lamb Gift Shop. Unknown quantity. Made after 1950, unknown year.
Reproduced by Fenton in the 1990's in White Milk Glass. Fenton bought the mold at the
1985 Westmoreland auction. Marked cursive 'F' inside oval on base. Fenton removed WG
logos and numbers. Fenton also produced the lamb for Martha Stewart's, Martha by Mail
in White, Pink and Jadeite. 1999-2001.
Reproduced by McKee Art Glass Company in Vaseline, Cobalt and Blue slags, 2009. Marked
westmoreland Lion on nest
Westmoreland's Lion on Nest is a reproduction of the original 1889 Atterbury
Lion Covered Dish. Differences are the WG lid is 1/8 " longer than the Atterbury
lid and WG lions are not marked with a patent date. Depending on its color, the
Westmoreland Lion lid can be atop a diamond weave base or a lacy (dancing
sailor) base. A commemorative Lion on nest was made in 1979 for the
Pennsylvania Lions Club, now the Lions of Pennsylvania Foundation (LOPF), a
national organization that provides humanitarian work and was first
established in 1917. The Lions Club has many chapters and still operates today.
WG Lions have applied glass eyes. Marked with old WG logo. Length
wESTMORELAND LION ON WIDE RIBBED BASE
Westmoreland (WG) Lion on Wide Ribbed Base is practically unknown.
Most collectors do not recall Westmoreland producing Lions on ribbed
bases. I often wondered why would the WG company own the mold and
yet never produce a single piece of glass? We know they owned the mold
because Rosso Wholesale Company purchased the WG Lion on Wide
Ribbed base mold from the final WG auction and then reproduced the
Lion. Westmoreland DID make a Lion on a wide ribbed base, but it was
never advertised by them. This is not unusual because a few WG pieces
have not been shown in catalogs. Lion was most likely produced late
1940's to mid 1950's. Lion may be unmarked. WG milk glass label may still
be present. 5 1/2" long.
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED FROM the Milk
Glass Book by Frank Chiarenza & James Slater, Pressglas-
Korrespondenz 2005-4 by Frank Chiarenza, Pressglas-Korrespondenz
2000-2 by Frank Chiarenza, Pressglas-Korrespondenz 1998-2 by Frank
Chiarenza and Pressglas-Korrespondenz 1998-1. It has been re worded
by me: ---In 1955, Westmoreland Glass Company produced a Lion on a
Wide Ribbed Base in White milk glass. It is a very close copy of the
McKee Lion on a Split Ribbed Base. Some parts of the lids are virtually
identical while the bases are different. It is not known if WG acquired
the original McKee lid mold or if the Lion lid mold was merely inspired
by McKee and recreated by Westmoreland. WG lion head droops lower
and is closer to the front legs than McKee's Lion. Also note: McKee lid is
too large to fit the WG base---
The WG lion was not advertised in any Westmoreland Glass catalog. The
first Westmoreland Lion on Wide Ribbed Base was shown for sale in White
milk glass in a 1955* advertisement by the P. & J. Lamp Co. of Spicer,
Minnesota. Production start dates and end dates are not known.
It could not be verified if Westmoreland produced this Lion in Blue milk
glass at the same time.
Chiarenza wrote that a member stated she owned an earlier Westmoreland
version of the Lion. She said the Lion in her collection had a slight bluish tint and
the base was thinner and lighter than Rosso Lion bases. It is not known whether
she still owns the lion. Because the WG Lion was produced after the 1948 WG
logo was part of the mold, it is possible to be marked with old WG logo. However,
it may have a sticker label instead. I own older WG Hens and Roosters produced
after 1948 which are unmarked. All Rosso reproductions will have the new 1982
The WG top is nearly identical to the original except that
the birds' beaks are further apart. The WG base is a
completely different design from the original bases.
(Scott, GCD p82-86) The cover displays two dove style
birds facing each other or looking toward one another.
The cover has a strong feathered texture that can be felt
Both the cover and base have a criss-cross pattern
throughout. Lid or base marked with the old WG logo.
WESTMORELAND RABBIT WITH EGGS
Westmoreland Rabbit with Eggs appeared in a 1955 Westmoreland Glass Company
catalog. The Rabbit lid can be on a lacy (dancing sailor) base or diamond weave base
according to which color was made. The Rabbit shown in the early advertisement
was White milk glass with 8 brightly painted eggs on dark Green grass. The egg colors
may also be in pastel. The grass under the Rabbit can vary from light Green to deep
Green to Brown. The Rabbit with eggs was reintroduced in 1977 for Levay. Electric
Blue Carnival and Ruby Slag are very hard to find colors. Ruby Slag would had the
same issues as the other WG Ruby Marble/Slag animal covered dishes...During
productions, Westmoreland had difficulty with Ruby due to ease of cracking and
breaking, namely the bases. Purple Marble Rabbit lids have been seen paired with
milk glass lacy bases. These are acceptable factory marriages due production
problems or overlapping inventories. [This is also the case with WG Purple Marble
Cat lids on milk glass rectangular bases]. Rabbit lid rim is heavily stippled, having the
roughness or appearance of sandpaper. The eyes are molded with concave
(hollowed) pupils. Lid and base are marked with old WG logo. 7 1/2" long.
Reproduced by AA Importing in Cobalt Blue and transparent Pink. Unmarked.
Base has smooth bottom.
Reproduced by an Asian company in pastel/pastel carnival colors. Unmarked.
Produced for Levay by Westmoreland. 1977-1982. Diamond Weave/lacy base.
Marked with old WG logo ('W' atop 'G') May be etched with a number of
sequence, year made, and LeVay.
Fenton leased the lid to produce their own Rabbits.
westmoreland rabbit on wide ribbed base
Rabbit on Wide Ribbed Base was first produced by Westmoreland Specialty Company
(WSC) in the early 1900's and ended by the time WSC became Westmoreland Glass
Company in 1920. The WSC Rabbit is only known in White Milk Glass. Base is
numbered between 1-6. Lid may be marked 1-6. This was most likely a mold number.
White is **RARE **. 5 1/2 " long. Westmoreland Glass Company reintroduced the
Rabbit in 1984 for Levay in the 2 colors shown below. These were the last two colors
of animal covered dishes produced by Westmoreland before closing its doors in
January 1984. New Rabbit is marked with new WG logo (circular WESTMORELAND III),
etched with year made and sequence of numbers made. May be etched Levay.
Acceptable on a Diamond weave base, which is marked with the new and old WG
logos. Limited quantities made. Ruby Carnival is hard to find. Black Carnival is RARE.
5 1/2" long. Reproduced by Rosso on wide ribbed base in many colors.
Westmoreland Rabbit on Picket Fence
Mule Eared Rabbit on a Picket Fence Base was made around 1900 by Westmoreland
Specialty Company (WSC) in milk glass colors. WSC milk glass Rabbit production
ended by 1920 and was reintroduced by Westmoreland Glass Company in 1940 and
continued until 1982. White milk glass Rabbits appeared in 1940 & 1941
Westmoreland ads with their noses, eyes and ears painted pink. Westmoreland
artists continued to hand painted White Rabbits in different decorations through the
1950's. Original WSC Rabbit marked with a number 1, 2 or 3 inside the lid and base.
This was most likely the number of the mold. The WG logo was not created until
1948. Newer Rabbits' bases and lids marked with numbers and old WG logos.
5 3/8" long.
Exclusively produced by WG for AA Importing. Only in Purple Slag. 1975.
Produced for Levay Distributing in White Carnival, 1979.
Special Order: Exclusively produced for Jenning's Red Barn by Westmoreland.
Only in Butterscotch Slag Iridescent. 1982.
Reproduced by Rosso Wholesale Company in new colors and made in similarly
painted decorations as the originals. WG logos and numbers are still intact. Circle
WESTMORELAND III may be present. Rosso logo, 'R' in a keystone in lid and base.
Rosso logo is faint. This Rabbit is marked with many logos.
westmoreland closed neck swan
Westmoreland Closed Neck Swan is an original, not a reproduction. It was made by
Westmoreland Specialty Company (WSC) in milk glass colors of White or Blue circa
1915. The Swan has a thin layer of glass inside the neck area. Older milk glass Swans
with open necks are less commonly found. In later years, the glass was removed by
workers which was a difficult task, creating an open neck. The Swan lid sits atop a
diamond base. WSC swans are unmarked. Later Swans marked old WG logo. See the
list for others. Levay Swans marked Westmoreland III & WG. 5 ½” long x 5” high.
wESTMORELAND 1000 EYE TURTLE
Westmoreland's Thousand Eye Cigarette Box also known as Thousand
Eye Covered Turtle Box is an original Westmoreland design. It is not a
reproduction. It first appeared in 1934 in Crystal. Other colors were
added later. The Turtle dish was a best seller in Westmoreland's 1000 eye
pattern which ended in 1979. There is also a smaller sized Turtle in this
pattern which does not have a lid. The small, lidless Turtles have only
been seen in Crystal and Ruby Stain. 1000 Eye Turtles have a small foil
WG label that read WESTMORELAND GLASS HAND MADE. People have
pointed out something that resembles a 'W' on the base rim but there is
no 'G'. This is likely not a logo. If label
is missing, the White Milk Glass WG
Turtles and Summit Turtles are hard
to tell apart. Large Turtle with lid is
7 1/2" long. Small turtle is 4 1/2" long.
