sUMMIT ART GLASS NO. 57 COVERED ROBIN DISH NMGCS Blue & White Slag Club logo, Rabbit NMGCS PA 90 In 1990, Summit Art Glass poured a Bird with Berry in Cobalt Blue & White Slag for the National Milk Glass Collector's Society (NMGCS) for their commemorative club piece. Bird mold was owned by Russell Vogelsong. Lid Marked 'V' in a ring. Base marked with club logo, NMGCS and PA 90 for Pennsylvania, the location of their convention in 1990. At the same time, Vogelsong poured a separate order for a different customer in this same color in limited quantities marked "McKEE". summit art glass no. 1000 covered turtle Summit Art Glass Covered Turtle Dish was produced from the mid to late 1980's-2005. Russ Vogelsong acquired the original Westmoreland mold. He did NOT reproduce the small, lidless Westmoreland Turtles. Because he did not add his own logo to the Turtle mold, the Turtle is unmarked. 7 1/2" long. No known reproductions. Rosso Wholesale Company sold Vaseline and Vaseline Carnival Turtles that were produced by Summit Art Glass. The way to tell the difference between Summit Art Glass Turtles and and Westmoreland Turtles is to learn the colors that were produced by each company. Mutual colors are White Milk Glass and Vaseline. Westmoreland placed foil labels on their early made turtles but if the label has fallen off, it is impossible to tell the difference because they used the same mold.
