Archaeologist Marion Coe works at <strong>the</strong> Owl Ridge site in interior Alaska,<br />

whose Nenana complex occupation dates to 13,100 years ago. Two<br />

subsequent Denali complex occupations at <strong>the</strong> site date to 12,540–<br />

11,430 and 11,270–11,200 years ago. This site helps clarify chronologies<br />

in <strong>the</strong> archaeological record <strong>of</strong> early Beringia.
