The rental market is one area where there is
significant growth in Japan’s RV sector, which
is another sign that more people are testing
the waters with the hobby. The JRVA lists
almost 90 different companies and locations
that RVs can be rented from, which in a
relatively small country geographically is
quite a lot. As well as renting vehicles, many
of these companies rent generic camping gear
such as tents, awnings, furniture and tarps
to help make the camping experience more
enjoyable for all.
Another thing that the JRVA does is help to
educate new campers about the etiquette that
is required to be a responsible camper in the
country. The organisation has even produced
a list of 10 rules to help campers camp more
responsibly and reduce the risk of upsetting
local people or harming the environment. It is
clear that Japan is a nation that is intrigued by
camping and that more and more people will
be drawn to the hobby as the years progress.
