them parking outside the eventsite itself!
So the parking lot was always worth a visit
too! Parking lots had to be re-painted for
size just the day before the event, by order
of the City of Gensingen. Visiting by motorcycle
was always “on the safe side”, but
there are many parking locations in close
Rockin‘ Rhein-Main
All day traffic at the entrance to “Main Street” of the Nahetal Arena and Rheinhessen Rumble. The
eventsite is on a busy road between A-61/60 and Bad Kreuznach.
Following two years of
almost “no show” conditions
in Germany and pretty
much the rest of Europe,
a lot of events are “back in
force”, especally as all motorcycle
riders are “hot” to be
back on the road, back to
events and back to meet their
friends! Motorcycle riding
is a “all body” experience –
and so is visiting a motorycle
event! Following the first
October 2021 “test run”, the
“Rheinhessen Rumble” is
starting into difficult times,
as Germany’s federal and
state gouverments are trying
to re-educate and re-shape
economics and environmental
issues in a never before
seen manner. Biker events
will feel the impact too, as did
the “Rheinhessen Rumble” in
May 2022. A great start however
RUMBLE
Rockin‘ Rhein-Main
and beyond!
There were times on Saturday when even parking a motorcycle became difficult. However, visitors
arriving on two wheels always foud a space left...
With their decade-long experience,
Maniac MechaniX has a long experience
not just with customizing,
but also with organizing their traditional
extensive “Summer Parties”,
traditionally held at the Rhine
river ferry port from Ingelheim to
Oestrich-Winkel. The connection
with ClassicX Landhaus & Hotel
eventsite, home of the Nahetal
Arena for concerts, allowed them
to go the next bigger step: The
“Rheinhessen Rumble” was born.
The October 2021 “testrun” did
end with success, despite the then
active Covid restrictions, so the
original envisioned “Spring opener”
date was set – and not just all
exhibitors re-booked but demand
for the event went wild! Planing
soon included a much bigger
music program, more booth space
and - Custom Chrome Europe’s
HQ just 5 km away - the return of
Somebody left his sign at the nights aftershow party...
RUMBLE
Rockin‘ Rhein-Main
Austria’s BSL presented a lot of new bikes at the event!
Custom Chrome Europe’s Ride-
In type Bike Show, in this case as
part of the new event that had such
a promising start.
H H H
As “hot” as organizers and bikeshow
team went into planing,
exhibitors were equally exited to
meet their customers again in a
likely “after-Covid” environment
with little if any
restrictions and additional
“action” promised
by the extended program
and longer opening
hours of the event.
Again, many local motorcycle
shops, customizing
services, national
and even international
customizers followed the
call to the Nahe river –
and they did not regret it!
H H H
Friday opened with several
cool music performances,
highlighted by
“Mytallica”. No need to
explain who they tributed
to. With warm and great
weather all weekend,
the bikes started rolling
almost immediately after
the gates opened – and
so did registration and
ühotographing of already
present bikeshow competitors.
Nahetal Arena
and the exhibition area
on the parking of Hotel
and Restaurant are perfectly
suited to host the
event, but planning did
not go without problems.
Obviously, local authorities,
now out of “covidmode”
came out in force
to “enrich” the planing
with new restrictive
orders and regulations
– including to re-paint
the parking lot spaces
from 2.5 to 2.3 meters
width on Thursday. Not
to mention that half the
fire-brigades from the
surrounding towns stood guard to
watch the event and concerts in
case of whatever could happen.
Not really good news for any event
orgainzers in Germany, as safety
and security regulation paperwork
and permits chew up a lot of budget
money even before an event is
Entrance into the Nahetal Arena and more custom
service booths passing the Indian’s of SK-Bikes,
Bad Kreuznach biggest Motorcycle shop!
happening and maybe, just maybe
earning some money.
H H H
The Rheinhessen Rumble offers
a great mix of exhibitors, offering
something for everybody who is
interested in customizing and custombike
lifestyle: You can get a
haircut at the “Barberknecht”, several
Tattoo artists work all weekend
to ink the skin of the visitors – and
to encourage the visitors to use
the services: Show host Christian
Denstedt himself is using some of
them as the hectic event shedule
allows him to do so! This year he
had “Rheinhessen Rumble” tattoed
into a remaing space at his shoulder.
His comment: “We did it – and
that’s worth the tattoo to remember!”
H H H
Saturday was “Showtime” for the
Custom Chrome Europe team and
the first bike show since European
Bike Week 2019 in Faak. Prepared
for what ever was coming,
about 20 bikes had
already signed in online
– and more came riding
in Saturday until registration
closed at 3 pm.
Following all of “mainstreet”,
then passing
the food court into the
“Bike Show Arena”, regulations
asked to leave
a big space open for fire
trucks - and the local
firemen also did check
out the custombikes
themself! Dr. Jekill & Mr.
Hyde, Harley-Davidsn
Würzburg Village, Twin’s
Inn, Custom Corner were
among the competitors,
so about one third of the
bikes stayed in the particular
booth locations.
Austria’s BSL Exhaust,
Wunderkind, V-Team
handlebars, Parts
Europe/Drag Specialties,
were among the
“Newcomers” to the
Rumble, yet there
seemed a lot of space
available for additional
entries if it wasn’t for (do
we really have to state it
again?) regulations.
H H H
Saturday’s highlight was
the trophy ceremony for
the bike show in front of
the main stage, bringing
together all winning
bikes and their owners/
builders. Axel Scherer of
Custom Chrome Europe
handed out trophies and
CCE parts credit vouchers
to the winners before
German cult band “Ohrenfeind” hit
the stage. When the gates closed
Sunday afternoon, all looked back
to a busy and successful event –
and nothing ever happend...
RIDE-IN BIKESHOW
Powered by Custom Chrome Europe

The Custom Chrome Europe Team on Friday: Axel Scherer, Matthias Hirsch and Carsten Behrens.
Much of the display was custom-built the week before the event!
Yes, the Nahetal Arena was “rumbling”!
All weekend and busy with
bikers rolling in from all over the
Rhein-Main Basin and sometimes
beyond, the first “Rheinhessen
Rumble”, last year October issue
counting as “test-run” for the
envisioned spring date to kickstart
the season, certainly lived
up to its expectations, especially
on the quality of the outstanding
custombikes exhibited at the
3-day custombike and music event
at Gensingen, situated just in the
middle between Bad Kreuznach
and Bingen, where the Nahe river
meets the Rhine in one of the most
scenic landscapes of Germany.
The experienced “Custom Chrome
International Bike Show Series”
team was co-organizing the
Bikeshow, which – thanks to the
location – did integrate characteristics
of both “Ride-In” and
“Indoor” bike shows already
introduced at previous Custom
Chrome Europe events: While
“Ride In” competitors presented
their bikes Saturday, May 7th in the
scenic courtyard of the ClassicX
Landhaus & Hotel eventsite, cus-
tombikes of event-exhibitors
remained at their particular booths
all weekend: 28 custombikes
signed in, roughly a third of them
by present or exhibiting dealers,
the others privateers or arriving
for Saturdays “Showtime” with
an outstanding quality of exhibits!
As a matter of fact, many
trophies went to “garage-built”
custombikes who also presented
excellent craftsmanship! The Jury
had quite a hard time to judge the
bikes in the given time – and especially
the “Championship” class
saw a head-to-head finish until
the result was final: Mario Mueller
of Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde did win
the Championship class ahead
of Maniac MechaniX “Centurio”
and Harley-Davidson Würzburg
Village’s “La Muerta” Chopper,
this being Christoph Repps private
M8-powered high-neck chopper!
“Blechfee” Jochen Lehmann, who
also had a hand in the sheet-metal
work of “Centurio”, did win the
Modified Harley Class, followed
by a Street Bob origin custom
by Maniac MechaniX and “Black
Wolf” built by Sonnet Customs.
Surprisingly enough, almost all
other top prices in the classes
Bagger, Sportster Engine and
the busy Jammer Old School/
Chopper class went to “privateers”
who also presented excellent
custombikes! Christoph
“Gifty Z” Grimm’s “Armageddon”
had already won numerous trophies
and is again re-painted and
upgraded for the 2022 season. The
immaculate and super-detailed
1970 Ironhead Chopper of Fabian
Feldweber came all the way from
Linz/Austria, together with the BSL
team to introduce the “young gun”
from whom we certainly will hear
again! Reason to celebrate also
had Chamoun Aziz, who not just
built his 1996 Evo Softail Springer,
but also painted it! He also came
up against tough competition in
the Jammer Old School/Chopper
class, many of the other customs
coming very close behind
the three winners! Axel Scherer
handed over the trophies and
parts-vouchers to the winners at
the Saturday afternoon ceremony,
bringing together all placed bikes
and winners in front of the Nahetal
View onto the bikeshow: The “Ride-In” section of the show was situated in the rear of the Nahetal
Hotel along with CCE and BSL display.
Arena stage for a cool presentation.
“We were happy to have a
show again after such a long
break in the event scene”, stated
Matthias Hirsch, CCE Sales
& Marketing Manager, “to meet
the customizers, the builders
and even suppliers again were a
great pleasure!” CCE’s HQ and
Warehouse, just about 5 km away
from the eventsite, the CCE team
was present at the cool event too
– and Custom Chrome Europe premiered
the Bell helmet line and
custom-built bikes by Thunderbike
and Rick’s Motorcycles, with
Patrick “Rick” Knoerzer himself
being present at the event!
The CCE Bike Show team featuring Simone Willem.
Show organizers Christian
Denstedt of Maniac MechaniX
and ClassicX Landhaus & Hotel
were also pleased with the results
of the event and “the Show will
go on”! So its “back to Party”
and “Showtime” again in April
2022 – the date being set for April
28th-30th already. Let’s Rumble
Beside his job as freelance writer for custombike and motorcycle magazines worldwide he is
be. His educational background with Dipl.-Ing. degrees in High Voltage/heavy current and Industrial
engineering and Job heritage as technical writer for German defence Industry allows him quickly to
explore new fields of work and organisation.
Catching the Spirit of motorcycling is the mission of „Motographer“ Horst Rösler since 1994 (if counting
his “early years”, since 1980...) – and promoting the riding of motorcycles and individual matters
of transport is a major part of it.
„Motographer“ Horst Rösler can be booked for your bike feature/event/service to grant maximum distribution
in all available media outlets that may report on your event – before and after “Showtime”
– and will provide you with the best-possible material to promote your events, be it a “Open House”,
Dealer Show, Ride with your clients, Biker Meet, or a “Mega Event” in which he may join a given team
to benefit the given mission. Or simply product and bike features. Check it out!
