Why Plagiarism is serious

by Louise Pacardo

Answers are everywhere on the internet and doing activities has never been easier as you can just

copy-paste from the internet. We could say that the internet is free, so, all is fair, right? Not really..

online magazine the “Literary Hub”, entitled “I

Plagiarized Parts of My Debut Novel. Here’s Why",

this definition and any act of plagiarism is

considered a disciplinary offense in academic and

professional spaces. It scopes from copying entire

essays to paraphrasing a single sentence without

the essay she wrote, she was basically justifying

that paraphrasing material she had found and

giving little to no credit was fine as she had made

them "into her own". Now both the essay and the

novel was canceled.
