Eye to the Future<br />

Opening in the fall, a cruise ship pier at Falmouth will have<br />

the capacity to handle two 5,400-passenger Royal<br />

Caribbean Genesis-size ships simultaneously. Opening later<br />

this year, Montego Bay Convention Center will be the<br />

island’s largest meeting facility and home to one of three<br />

casinos once the government passes the necessary legislation.<br />

Casinos are also expected to open later this year in the<br />

not-yet-built Harmony Cove Hotel and Celebration<br />

CHTA Names Green Globe as Strategic Partner<br />

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA)<br />

has signed a Strategic Partnership agreement with the prestigious<br />

Green Globe Certification to work with and support<br />

the Caribbean hospitality industry and Alliance for Sustainable<br />

Tourism (CAST) Governing Council.<br />

elite group of supporters of the Caribbean hospitality industry,”<br />
