SILVER GAVEL NEWS<br />
EVENING COLORS<br />
In response to a request from our Board of Governors, I am pleased to report that<br />
effective <strong>November</strong> 1, 2012 Silver Gavel has accepted the responsibility for our Evening<br />
Colors ceremony. Silver Gavel plans to continue the use of local high school<br />
color guards when they are available. Our goal is to continue the importance of<br />
Evening Colors and enhance it whenever possible. We welcome your comments<br />
and suggestions.<br />
COMPASS ROSE<br />
As reported earlier the six-foot hardwood compass rose is to be installed in February<br />
and is still on schedule. Funding for this project is provided by Silver Gavel due<br />
to other capital projects competing for funds. We look forward to adding this significant<br />
nautical item as it will be a great compliment to our very popular Dragon<br />
Point Bar.<br />

Beach. FCYC meetings always have great<br />
educational opportunities and this meeting<br />
will feature a tour of the Boston Whaler factory<br />
in near by Edgewater. The EGYC usually<br />
wins the attendance award and all members<br />
