Your guide to summer concerts
From Rock ‘n Roll to Blues and Country
to tunes that make you want to get up and
dance, community summer concerts offer
a little something for everyone.
Do you have a favorite band? Maybe it’s
Butchwax and the Hollywoods, who have
been entertaining local audiences with
favorites from the ’50s, ‘60s and ‘70s for
35 years. Or perhaps you’re into the ‘80s
and ‘90s. If so, you’ll want to seek out
Queens Blvd. Their high-energy covers
will undoubtedly have you singing in your
seats or dancing in front of the stage. The
same can be said for perennial favorites Dr.
Zhivegas, Fanfare, Big Love, Trilogy and
Rockin’ Chair.
If you don’t have a favorite yet, by the
end of the summer. Plus, since many of
the bands perform in two or more concert
series, you’ll have the chance to catch
them multiple times this summer. That is if
you plan right. Thankfully, this guide can
help you do just that.
Here’s what you need to know before
you go and the schedules of who’s playing
where.
Except where noted, concert-goers are
allowed to bring small to medium coolers
and food into the concert venues; however,
glass containers are prohibited. Most concerts
also offer some type of concessions
for purchase.
The use of personal-sized chairs and
blankets is encouraged.
It is wise to arrive early to ensure a good
parking spot. Accessible parking is available
at all venues but may be limited.
Collapsible, personal-sized umbrellas
are allowed to shield concert-goers from
sun and rain, but some venues prohibit
those with metal tips.
Most venues prefer you leave your fourlegged
family members at home.
COTTLEVILLE
Twilight Tuesdays
This free concert series takes place from
6-8:30 p.m. in Legacy Park, 5490 Fifth St.,
at the Rotary Amphitheater.
Limited parking is available on lots at
Legacy Park; however, additional parking
is available in the rear of the park at the
Kochanski Sports Field. Local concertgoers
are encouraged to walk, bike, or golf
cart in and enjoy the music. However, golf
carts will not be allowed on the amphitheater
hill or grass. Patrons are asked to use
the designated vehicle parking spaces only
for their golf carts.
Any cancellations due to weather will be
posted on the city’s website and or social
media.
June 14: Trixie Delight (‘70s, ‘80s,
‘90s hits)
June 28: That 80’s Band (‘80s pop,
rock and new-wave)
July 12: Serapis (Americana)
July 26: Breakdown Shakedown (Top
40s rock ‘n roll)
Aug. 9: The RetroNerds (‘80s tribute
band)
Aug. 23: Queens Blvd. (‘70s-‘90s hits)

Summer Concerts &
Food Truck Rally
These free concerts take place on Fridays
from 7-10 p.m. at City Hall Park,
2032 Hanley Road. Residents and visitors
are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and
blankets. Concessions will be available for
purchase.
